Pre 11k5BP, being 2,255 miles from the then North Pole in West Greenland the Margate Off-shore site was at 57°24′N. At 57°30′N, 1° of Longitude is 37.168miles long or 32.32Nms. This location which was then on dry land was possibly on the Prime Meridian at 00°00′00″E.

Research has culminated in the collection of information which outlines the revelation of a series of True North Pole Positions in the past 50,000 years. Over the last 20 years, the main research activity has focused on the search for self explanatory evidence in the global landscape to verify this theory. To date evidence has been produced which proved how the series of True North Pole Positions which have been defined, explain many anomalous events in the past 50,000 years.

One of the most remarkable facts discovered and revealed in Stonehenge 1 Decoded is that the Mainframe of the Imperial System of Measurement has been in use, for at least 8,000 years, probably over 12,000 years, with the loss of just 2 measures, leaving its legacy on the landscape enabling interpretation of principles then in use and the workers' objectives. The lost measurements are The Mesolithic Yard which was 31.68" Statute Inches or 804.672mms. and which was split into 32 Mesolithic Inches. From here on, there is virtually no use in the text, of the Metric System of Measurement as it is a distraction when interpreting prehistory. See Stonehenge 1 and the Mesolithic Yard.

There is use of the BP system of dating which was devised in 1950AD and based on years before 1950AD, this, with my adoption of the k for kilo as in 5k3BP, deliberately implies less accuracy, than is suggested by 5,300 years ago

What is important at this stage is to accept that Pre 11k5BP, intellect, global knowledge and the communal construction abilities of residents of Britain and other countries were at extremely high levels, with many remaining examples of work, beyond the comprehension and ability of today's construction experts. This is contrary to the generally perceived, standard disparaging, model of our ancestors, as taught for the past 100 years, this being of people with a low intellect and a Stone Age Mentality!

Today we are generally, effectively blind to our limited, personal abilities, if stripped of associates and the proliferation of tools and materials which are the products of the resulting interaction of advanced civilisations over the past 2 millenia. We are also effectively blind to the abilities of our ancestors, over 8,000 years ago to handle and process extremely large, dressed stones with examples of over 1,000T used in ancient construction works on open display, along with many examples of extremely sophisticated work such as at Baalbek and Sacsahuaman, leaving engineers perplexed for at the least, the past 200 years.

To understand these anachronisms, there is a need to first outline the achievements of our predecessors over the past 12 millenia, to enable an understanding of their global knowledge and their abilities to conduct global navigation and commerce, these concepts needing international cooperation. This knowledge thereby enables a readily acceptable, understanding of the motivation and the methodology involved in creating Britain's 11,500 Year Old, Great North Road.

Working back in time, following examination of the efforts of Britons', 5,200 years ago, to create Stonehenge 1, this being the outer circular mound, predating the Stone Circle on Salisbury Plain, by well over 1,500 years, it was found that Stonehenge 1, had been created as a sophisticated protractor which fulfilled many functions for both astronomers, surveyors, mathematicians and philosophers. While part of this is shown later, its construction principles were outlined in the e-pub Stonehenge 1 Decoded published in 2017.

This astronomical observatory was needed and used Post 5k2BP, to remap the sky and to act as a ground zero, reference point for revised global mapping. It functioned as a tool and calculator for the teaching of astronomy and mathematics with the site consequently becoming a teaching centre for all the skills, which were a necessity for the development of civilisation and government.

Most important of all, it outlined the use of highly significant intellect and mathematical knowledge, with the unmistakeable use of Pythagoras' theorem to position it and the evaluation of Pi to 462/147.0591674 to construct the Outer circle on the flat top of the Stonehenge 1 Earth Mound. This ratio of 462/147.0591674 is readily simplified in use to the common approximation of 22/7.

The established use of these concepts 5,200 years ago are several thousand years earlier than has been credited to date and as such demand a complete rethink on the development of mankind's abilities, even further back in time.

As outlined in Stonehenge 1 Decoded, the main features on the flat top of the Stonehenge 1 Earth/Chalk Mound, were 2 circles. All work on this mound and its site selection were carried out with the use of an incredible standard measure, the Mesolithic Yard, which was defined with a knowledge of geophysics and then split into 32 Mesolithic Inches. With 32 being 2⁵, this actually involved halving the Mesolithic Yard, 5 times and with each individual on site hopefully having 2 hands and 5 fingers, each worker had his/her built in mnemonic reference.

The Mesolithic Yard was 31.68 Statute Inches or 804.672mms. and was capable of being used as a Standard Pace" and readily used for rough estimations in survey work by people of many nationalities, This Mesolithic Yard, which is over 5,200 years old, was the fundamental building block for the current system of Imperial Linear Measurement, with 25 Mesolithic Yards in a Chain, 250 in a Furlong and 2,000 in a Mile. These unit measures The Chain, The Furlong and The Mile are still in use today and unchanged in their overall dimensions, even though they have been split in a different way with the use of the current Imperial Yard. An area of land, 1 Chain x 1 Furlong was, and is still the same 1 Acre, even though we now use Imperial Yards. In addition, still widely used today in the Sport of Kings to describe a horse's height, is The Hand of 4"(M) which featured prominently in the layout of the Stonehenge 1 Measured Circles.

The overwhelming presence of mathematical coherence in the construction of Stonehenge 1, 5,200 years ago, and in following works on that site, is a substantial amount of circumstantial evidence, providing overwhelming proof that the Mesolithic Yard, ie. Yds (M), was the fundamental building block then, and was also the basis of the Chain which was then 25 Yds (M), the Furlong which was then 250 Yds (M) and Mile which was then 2,000 Yds (M). These are measurements which have carried through, unchanged in their lengths, to the current system of Imperial Linear Measurement. What is also significant is that it is apparent that the Imperial System of Linear Measurement, had been in use for a long time before the work started on Stonehenge 1, 5,200 years ago with evidence of it having been in use over 11,500 years ago.

It must also be noted that the positioning of this circular mound, Stonehenge 1, is also a key to confirming the precise position of the Pre 5k3BP True Pole which had been defined from the examination of structures across South Wales in earlier research.

The Earth Surface Tilt, which occurred at 5k3BP had an immediate global effect, resulting in the loss of the Pre 5k3BP True Pole which had been at what is now Latitude 84° 19'N, 143° 22'W from 7k9BP. This resulted in Britain moving over 300 miles north with the last serious loss of land around Britain, to the sea, a relatively recent, post-geological age process, which had started at approx 11k5BP when Britain was connected by a land mass to Europe. This action of positioning this circular mound on Salisbury Plain, 5,200 years ago, was therefore a response to this Earth Shattering Event approximately 100 years earlier.

This research has now culminated in the discovery of a Prime Meridian, in Norfolk, created Pre 11k5BP, at a time when there was a landmass joining Britain to Europe, south of a line across what is now the North Sea, from Whitby to Denmark. The discovery of this land loss was first made public in Submerged Forests by Clement Reid, published in 1913, with his map shown in Peddars Way. This has now enabled the recognition of the connection between sections of Peddars Way in Norfolk and the Pre 11k5BP North Pole and what will be shown is that Peddars Way was created in two stages; one Pre 11k5BP and a later stage created Pre 7k9BP.

While the overall scope of this research work has actually revealed 5 Pole Positions before our current Pole, the earlier 2 Pole Positions were defined by others by geological methods, these being the Pre 50kBP and the Pre 17kBP Poles and the 3 which followed, the Pre 11k5BP, the Pre 7k9BP and the Pre 5k3BP Poles, were defined predominantly by the examination of digital mapping and aerial and satellite imagery. This process revealed the astronomical principles of significant, ancient sites created by mankind. These were sites which had been built with reference to the then appropriate pole and with alignments to the then relevant Sunrise and Sunset bearings on Midwinter and Midsummer Solstices.

For reference, it is worth noting that Christian Churches in Europe followed the earlier practice established, Pre 7k9BP of being laid out on a NSEW Cross, with the long axis running west to east, with the congregation facing east looking at the altar, which is placed below the main stained glass window which would be illuminated by Sunrise in the East at 090°T, on the Equinoxes. This ancient practice, now described as Sun Worship was an acknowledgment that life on Earth is solely dependent on the life giving properties of Earth's relationship to the Sun. The most striking, Pre 7k9BP example of this practice is eminently displayed in the ruins of Baalbek in the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon.

Pre 7k9BP the principle of the temple being aligned West to East, was adopted at The Temple of the Sun on the Great Plateau at Baalbek with an Hexagonal Pillared Temple at its eastern end, with a plan of the plateau layout outlining the shape of a horizontal straight sided Ankh. (See Baalbek). A model of this shape is carried by many clergy or priests in many religions today, and it may be justifiably claimed that the Temple of the Sun on the Great Plateau at Baalbek was definitely a pointer to the origin of this symbol and practice.

Sun Worship was therefore not so much a cult, but a recognition of the fact that mankind's survival on this Earth is totally dependent on the life giving properties, stemming from Earth's appropriate relationship to the Sun. Baalbek was once named Heliopolis, Sun City, the Great Plateau when created was aligned West to East with the great wall supported by the 3 Trilithon Stones of over 1,000 Tons each, aligned North to South. This then enabled the beveled face of the 3 Trilithon Stones, to act as a Noon Marker, when illuminated by the Sun at its zenith, this event being a precise timer accurate to well within 1 second, every day of the year.

As such by defining a North/South line, appropriate for any site and also defining the alignments for Sunrise and Sunset on the Solstices, through these sites' layouts and extending the Meridian North along a great circle route, this enabled the current establishment of each site's latitude and co-latitude, when constructed. This is a relatively simple process with the aid of digital mapping, such as the Ordnance Survey Memory Map (for European sites) and 3D Globe Deluxe for all sites, enabling measurement of the distance, (this corresponding to the site's co-latitude) along the established meridian for that site which thereby defines the precise position of the True Pole for that time. Currently Google Earth is a facility now available to researchers, which may be of additional value.

The results achieved, were that from The Path of The Pole by Charles H Hapgood, there was a Pre 50kBP Pole and a Pre 17kBP Pole, this based on geological evidence conditionally endorsed by Albert Einstein; while archaeological site analysis, defined a Pre 11k5BP Pole, a Pre 7k9BP Pole and a Pre 5k3BP Pole, prior to the Post 5k3BP Pole in the past 50,000 years. Crucially there have been 4 Pole Positions in the past 17,000 years, a period over which much evidence remains. These are findings which were established and revealed in 6 Poles and 6 Crosses and The Pre 5k3BP Pole and The Biblical Flood (currently awaiting publication), with proof of the methodology defining their positions and the timing of the creation of each Pole Position. Of necessity these books have space to lay out the reasons for claiming that the positions given are accurate and that the times when they changed position are also reasonably accurate.

That is another matter, this volume takes into consideration, mankind's experiences and specific knowledge of these Pole Positions and uses it to describe the original function of a truly ancient footpath/bridleway, Pre 11k5BP, with mysterious origins, through Norfolk, called Peddars Way. This is erroneously described as a Roman Road bur while it was undoubtedly used and improved by the Romans, their work took advantage of preexisting survey and construction work, some of which was over 9,500 years old, before they arrived in Britain.

As in so many cases throughout the world, when the Romans arrived in any new territory, their first objective, after establishing control, was to report back to Rome on all discoveries of assets, and then where appropriate, erase the records of the country's previous accomplishments by building on these works and describing these works as Roman. This was displayed with their conversion of The Baalbek Great Plateau to the Temple of Jupiter, this being their most famous act of misrepresentation, designed to wipe out memories of Lebanese culture, replacing it with a display of Roman dominance. 

Evidence for these claims is awaiting publication along with the evidence for the previous pole positions. It is for that reason that the reader is asked to accept for the present, the ancient pole positions given in this book, thereby understanding how a Prime Meridian pointing directly to the Pre 11k5BP Pole was created through Norfolk and probably up the now East Coast of Britain to Whitby, along land which is now submerged under the North Sea.

Working from a viewpoint in South Wales, 220 miles west of Peddars' Way, this may be considered strange when describing the purpose of a subject, however from a distance, the world looks different and it is from this position, with the aid of modern mapping techniques, that the evidence for the purpose of this ancient way can now be revealed, This is not to say that I would have liked to walk the length of this way, but that is sadly, not now possible.

At the outset, with the research findings and confirmed knowledge of the ancient pole positions given in this book, the objective here is to provide what is considered to be further proof of one of these prior pole positions, by showing how a 16.4 mile long section of Peddars' Way, was not just a Pre 11k5BP, Line of Longitude which was then Britain's Great North Road, but by the addition of further evidence, outlining how it had been a segment of a Global Prime Meridian and therefore the baseline for a Pre 11k5BP, Global Mapping Program.

This therefore adds further evidence of the validity of the claim for the Pre 11k5BP Pole, thereby easing readers' acceptance of the concept of the 5 lost Pole Positions mentioned above, prior to the Earth's current rotation around the Post 5k3BP True Polar Axis. It also validates the claim for the Pre 11k5BP Pole defined by the Great Plateau at Baalbek.

What has been shown is how the Pre 7k9BP section of Peddars Way was a section of a 232 mile long line, up what is now, Britains East Coast, from a point which is now offshore off Margate, across East Anglia, to the headland carrying the Whitby Fog Siren, north of Robin Hood's Bay, a line predominantly on land which is now underwater. With this line to and from this location, being part of a Pre 7k9BP, Line of Longitude, as far as the then residents of Britain were concerned. There is further evidence which will not only convince readers today, of the validity of this claim but will justify strong consideration of the proposal that earlier sections of Peddars Way, were not just a Pre 11k5BP, Line of Longitude but were sections of The Pre 11k5BP, Global Prime Meridian, .

Thanks to the mapmakers throughout history who have laboured to give us our present state of knowledge of the world and the universe around us. Particular thanks are due to the workers of Britain's Ordnance Survey who in the 1950s set out to create the first full set of the 1 inch to the Mile, Maps known as Series 7, covering all of Britain. This set of maps were set out on 1km squares, forming the OS National Grid, used with later works including the digital Memory Map. These are works which have made this discovery of Britain's Great North Road possible.

Introduction

This book has come about as the result of an analysis of unpublished personal research data, accumulated over 20+ years. While the bulk of the material is overdue for publication and listed in Other Works, most unpublished, these all refer to various aspects of at least 5 separate Earth Tilts in the past 50,000 years with at least 4 in the period from 17kBP to the present.

While each one of these Earth Tilts resulted in global disruption and loss of land flora and fauna. This work is objectively limited to the effective presentation of simple facts, which have emerged from that research and mankind's response on each occasion. 

Over 11,500 years ago, the Pre 11k5BP North Pole (where 11k5BP was 11,500 years before 1950AD)), was in South Western Greenland at a point which is now at 74° 03''N, 56° 18'W. Recognising this, highly competent astronomer/navigator/surveyors, of that time, had created a 4 mile long road, pointing directly to this Pole as a Prime Meridian Marker Line, at a bearing then of 0°/360° or 0/400g grads, across Norfolk from Castle Acre to West Heath Farm, just west of Great Massingham, that line is now at 336½°T. That 4 mile long road, was however, just a part of a much bigger project.

Following an Earth tilt, producing global surface movement 11,500 years ago, the Earth Shift resulted in the Earth's daily rotation being about a point, which is now, further north in Greenland. This point was first defined on the current Polar Grid, as 78° 27''N, 59° 41'W, but which has now been redefined (17th October 2021) at 76° 53''N, 64° 33'W, with this North Pole further north in Greenland, it has been named the Pre 7k9BP Pole. One effect of this Pole Shift was the resumption of work in Norfolk on the Great North Road, north from West Heath Farm, just west of Great Massingham, that line is now at 339°T. This Earth/Pole Shift, 11,500 years ago, caused major upheaval throughout the world with tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and the loss of land to the sea but also accompanied by the acquisition, or creation with volcanic eruptions, of new land from the sea. In turn a further Earth Tilt 7,900 years ago, which resulted in the loss of the Pre 7k9BP Pole and the creation of the Pre 5k3BP Pole, was connected with a major geophysical event which is known as the Storrega Slide, this being an event which resulted in approximately 3,500km³ of seabed sliding off Norway's continental shelf, into the Norwegian Sea.
