1
The first celestial sphere
struggles to warm the Earth
because some evil wizard
wants to harness its rays.
The sun is hiding
among the April clouds.
What summer would be without him
for lovers lost in the night
like fireflies in the fields?
And the poor cicadas?
The whole orchestra would fail.

I loved freedom more than love
when my name became
that of the world in a book
not for sissies in the kitchen
but for transatlantic adventures.
I am the wind
inextinguishable form of life.
What will my next name?

The law of love is such
to do unbelievable things.
Every gesture, every thought
has a magnetic power
you’ll recognize with amazement.
An infinite wonder, like the first time
when the child sees the world.

If you try to touch the sun
you will die. And the sun will light up
a new stratosphere.
The mighty humans staring at it
go totally blind.
And insane.

Oh, rich man
who thinks you’re God!
The math is not wrong
you cannot count anything.
Buy yourself an abacus
