Francine Merasty is a Nehithaw Iskwew (Cree Woman) from Wapawikoschikanek (Pelican Narrows), a reserve in Northern Saskatchewan. She is a member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, a fluent Nehithaw speaker, and Legal Counsel and Executive Assistant to the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation in Saskatchewan. Francine is a winner of the 2019 Indigenous Voices Awards. She currently lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
