Introduction

In a series of discussions, little known details of events relating to some topics that are of the up-most importance are brought out; that belong in the public arena- to the attention of the public mind. The stakes are high; it is an alerting of the public to some basic misconceptions- profound untruths. On the one hand it concerns the survival of our cherished tradition of democracy; and on the other, the very survival of civilization itself is in the balance.

When we need to know the truth about those events that have real significance in our lives; then, to some extent, we must take responsibility for our own educations. We should keep in mind that what we get from others is not necessarily always in our own best interest; what is presented to the public is not always for the public good. When it comes to those things that are most important, we must take it on ourselves to find out the facts. To not necessarily accept what we are told by official sources and learn from others, but to do some work ourselves- to find some things out on our own.

In this dialog between friends, (Pub, representing the public mind, and Indy, the individual), two important events, one which has already happened and another still on the horizon, are scrutinized to reveal some of these untruths and misconceptions. The first is the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy; an examination, mainly, of overlooked details in the photographic evidence, revealing a conspiracy and cover-up of huge proportion. An event that should be seen as the beginning of a now decades-long slide towards a new tyranny. And secondly, the public needs to know what is actually going on with the climate. Research reveals that the much talked about global warming is but an ominous and precipitous prelude to a great transition. The changes we are now seeing; the droughts and wildfires, the increased incidence and severity of storms, the flooding, the changes in atmospheric and oceanic circulation- and including the very warming itself- are all preceded by important climate signals that have been evident for a long time- especially in the northern seas. All signs of a coming change to a colder Earth.

If we are to retain any semblance of our long-held democratic institutions and governance; if we are to avert a slow decline into a political tyranny- then, to the extent possible, we must all become fully informed. If we are to overcome a coming transition in the climate of truly global proportions- then again, we must be fully informed.

Here are a few important (key) points; this, in addition to those to be found in the index, and at the end of chapters nine and eleven. 

Indy: ...ancient ice core records from glaciers reveal that at times of large climate change- that is, when the climate transitions from one of these two climate states to the other- that it is always the temperature that changes first, before carbon dioxide. The same is true at times of smaller change, such as the so called 'Younger Dryas Event,' which was a 1,000-year period of cooling that occurred principally in the North Atlantic region as the current warming was beginning. That means that temperature is the leader in climate change and not carbon. Besides that, carbon dioxide is present in the atmosphere in only trace amounts- so small that it is measured in parts per million. Water, as water vapor, is a much more powerful greenhouse gas, and its presence in the atmosphere is much greater, and is increasing, and yet carbon gets all the attention, and the blame, for the warming.

...there is very little said about the Hydrological Cycle in today's debate, but it will be found to play just as important a role in Climate Change. It is the warming, especially in the tropics, that gives rise to the accelerating influence of this cycle, but the Hydrological Cycle itself plays a major and direct role in the extreme weather events that are occurring all around the world,"

Pub: ...give me one new shred of evidence that I can embrace as conclusive that the Warren Commission was wrong in its findings that it was Oswald acting alone that was responsible in the death of President Kennedy.

Indy: Very well, it just so happens that I have right here that single shred of evidence. She points to the Altgens photo, This photograph is the key to the proof you seek,

Pub: So you're going to disprove a major finding of the US Government; a conclusion reached as the result of countless hours of investigation, and who knows how many people, with that one single photograph?

Indy: Pretty much, yes! The evidence is to be found in the long overlooked fine details of the case,

Pub: I sat for a long time last night trying to think how this evidence can be presented to the public- it's the story of the century. I kept thinking to myself, I want to publish it; but Indy, as much as I want to, I couldn't publish this if your name was Ted Kennedy,

Day One: First Meeting

Pub: Well this has to be a first! Casually dressed in his usual sweatpants, t-shirt and tennis shoes, he runs a hand through his thinning, unruly, and slightly graying brown hair in a halfhearted attempt to bring it under control, as he settles his somewhat over-sized body onto the small patio chair that he finds himself on, Why is it we're getting together here today, Indy?

Indy: Shh! I've been waiting! And you'll draw attention. Tall, dark haired, attractive and athletic, Indy is a sharp contrast to her older friend. She's in blue-jeans, and that's casual; but they're pressed, and she's got on a white dress shirt- so she's just a bit more smartly dressed.

Pub: Sorry I'm late, but it's a fair question. What are we doing meeting here, and in secret, and why all the hush hush? And outdoors at a downtown restaurant, right in the middle of Chicago- how secret is that? Pub is taken a little by surprise by Indy's low tone; he glances around, scanning the faces of the others seated around them at the sparsely populated little sidewalk cafe.

Indy: Scooting her own chair in a little closer, It's as safe as any other place I could think of. I'm afraid if they get wind of our meeting, they might try to do something- you know- to stop us. Besides, on a Saturday morning there's not too many people out. And you, being something of a public figure- I thought you might be concerned about being recognized.

Pub: Nobody here seems to be paying any attention to us- not right now anyway. And then, a bit louder, Besides, I quit worrying about what people think about me a long time ago. He continues to look around. There's a guy with a newspaper covering his face, but Pub sees nothing much worth worrying about. He lowers his tone, What is it exactly you want to talk about, Indy- and who, exactly, are 'THEY?' I'm getting a little weary of this conversation already, and I'm beginning to think I did the wrong thing coming here.

Indy: Well we never seem to get the chance to talk; about the only places I ever see you is at public events, and I have just been thinking that you and I should be getting together- that there is a lot going on that we should be talking about.

Pub: Ok, like what? And I'll ask you just one more time, who exactly are 'THEY?'

Indy: Well, I want to talk about some of the crazy stuff that's going on- you know! And it's hard to say, exactly, who they are, because you never know- they could be anyone. They are the hidden power behind things, the secret government behind the government- and they are always watching and listening, you know. Do you have your cell phone turned off, by the way?

Pub: Looking a little frustrated, Alright, I'm going to try to overlook your apparent paranoia for the time being; I do not make it a habit of carrying a cell phone around all the time; and I want to make it clear at the outset that I do not want to be quoted, either in print or on-line, as being in support of one of your theories or ideas, but you do have my attention. Now suppose you go ahead and let me in on some of what's on your mind. I could've slept in for while this morning; and, if you didn't know, there's a game on this afternoon. He begins to relax and manages a slight smile, But I don't suppose you have much of an interest in baseball."

Indy: "Well first of all, we can do without the wise-cracks- can't we? And secondly, the fact that I am young and a woman does not mean that I am not educated, with some knowledge and on-the-job experience- nor does it mean that I have no interest in sports. But, if you don't mind my saying so,
