    What is the eating clean diet?

    The eating clean diet also called, clean eating diet or the eat clean diet, is a very simple and basic diet. It is the absence of anything chemical including processed flours and sugars, chemicals and preservatives, artificial dyes and flavors. It is food in its most natural state, the way it comes off the vine or plant or tree. It is food that you pick up at the produce section or from the freezer. You can find this food in the canned goods as well. Clean food diet is exactly what it sounds like.

    Why Eat Clean Foods?

    Eating foods on this diet puts you back to as close to nature as possible eating foods in their natural state without any processing or unnecessary ingredients. The body is able to assimilate foods better. It acts as a cleanse at first helping the body to detoxify from all the additives and preservatives. Natural foods help to keep the digestive system clean by acting as a natural scrubber as it goes through the tract.

    Can you lose weight on this diet?

    That is a big yes. Why? Because by not eating junk food the body has a chance to use all the nutrients that comes from clean foods to help boost the metabolism. This means that it digests the foods at the perfect time, pulling all the necessary nutrients out. Because there are no bad fats or sugars in natural foods the body does not hang on to them like it does when you consumer junk food. Because natural foods help the body to speed up the metabolism, you have more energy and when you have more energy you feel like getting up and moving around. Developing and maintaining a good exercise routine is vital in weight loss and very possible when consuming clean foods because you will have that extra energy.

    Is the clean food diet healthy?

    Yes. Consuming clean foods helps to boost the immune system. How? The best way to receive all the nutrients you need (nutrients as in vitamins, minerals, complex carbohydrates and more) is through the foods you eat. If you are eating whole healthy foods then your body is receiving all the nutrients it needs in order to keep you healthy.

    The clean diet includes all the super foods like quinoa, spinach, and fruits and vegetables. These foods are high in nutrients and in particular in anti-oxidants. Anti-oxidants are vitamins and minerals that help to attack and get rid of free radicals in the body. Free radicals are substances that cause horrible diseases like cancer, heart disease and other debilitating diseases. If the body is able to fight free radicals it means the immune system is strong and healthy. And simply eating clean foods makes this happen.

    Tips to make the eating clean diet work.

    When you go grocery shopping of course you want to focus on all foods that are not labeled as convenient food or junk food. You will want to shop in the produce section (or your local farmer's market if available), the frozen foods section, and for canned goods.
