    The first story in the collection, “A Moment of Calm” follows a woman named Catherine, who is being given a short break from her life training as a cybernetic soldier. She meets with an old friend, Vincent, but things go awry when she finds that her and VIncent’s memories are at odds. The second story, “Partners in Crime”, tells the story of Ross and Lucy as they execute a museum heist. The tumultuous history of the partners becomes apparent, culminating in one of them making a rash decision that changes both of their lives forever. The final story in the collection, “An Eternity of Excitement”, delves into the mind of a young child as they get a vaccine. This story is very relatable to anyone who has suffered through a pandemic and allows the reader to view the situation from another perspective.
