Lew N. Rinko
Lew Rinko graduated from Girard College in June, 1952 and began his advertising career at a suburban Philadelphia agency. He gained experience working at several agencies while earning a Marketing degree from Temple University. At age 32, he opened Rinko Advertising in Center City Philadelphia. Over the next 35 years he served Cigna, DuPont, Bell Atlantic (Verizon), Kraft, (Glaxo)Smith-Kline and many smaller clients. He also owned and published for twelve years, The Swarthmorean, the community newspaper in the college town of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. Mr. Rinko, now deceased, had lived with his wife, Kay, in their Swarthmore home since 1968.
