      Introduction To Forex

      1.Forex jargon

      Just as any profession or group has special words and expressions that they use that are difficult to be understood by others, people that participate in the foreign exchange market also have special words and expressions that they use. In this chapter, a few special words will be defined so that you can confidently discuss Forex-related issues without embarrassing yourself.

      A.Currency pair

      The currency pair is the quotation of the relative value of a currency unit against the unit of another currency. Currency pairs are made up of two currencies which are the base currency and the quote currency respectively.

      B.Exchange rate

      The exchange rate is the value of one currency expressed in terms of another. The exchange rate shows how much of the quote currency you need if you want to buy one unit of the base currency.

      The quote is the market price that always consists of two figures which
