About this ebook

Radiant Destiny is a triple language book written in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Pinyin. The book is laid out with the Mandarin and Pinyin following each English paragraph to allow people to use it as a means of studying Chinese. The Mandarin used is simplified Chinese and not traditional like used in Taiwan. Since most of the print media in China now uses Simplified Chinese, its best to use it to study.
The drama takes place in the 1970’s and 1980’s when an explosion of technology allowed two Nurds in Los Angeles to detect two Alien Races communicating. Soon the NSA gets involved because both young men graduate from college and get security clearances. When back ground investigators discover multiple antennas on the roof of their home, great interest soon drives this government spy agency to plant one of their employees to determine if these young men were involved in nefarious activities. Soon the investigators learn they are intercepting Alien communications which creates a fantastic drama as they employ Dolphin Researchers to unscramble the Alien Communications and the incredible activities of the Aliens.
We can hear them, but can they hear us? Adventure, travel and Intreague with a wonder woman.

    A Lifeless Planet

In the Pragtrian Star Cluster, the Xer were expecting a possible Wermaurth invasion. The Wermaurth had been the aggressors recently. The Xer had slowly evolved into reactionaries. Their political moral compass never seemed to point in the right direction. The worst part of it, untold numbers of Xer families would be exterminated because of lack of preparedness unless public opinion could be swayed.

Zài Pǔ lā gé tè lǐ ān (Pragtrian) xīngtuán zhōng, Rénxíng Wài Xīng Rén - Zé ěr (Xer) qídài kěnéng de Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén - Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) rùqīn. The two solar systems in the Pragtrian Worlds were not separated by much distance. Not long after interplanetary travel began, the Xer encroached upon the Wermaurth reptilians who lived on a planet rich in natural resources and was located close to another planet similarly constituted.

Pǔ lā gé tè lǐ shìjiè (Pragtrian Worlds) zhōng de liǎng gè tàiyángxì bìng méiyǒu xiānggé hěn yuǎn. The Wermaurth lived underground. Analyzing Wermaurth cities one could easily get the impression they were upside down, as the buildings dug deep into the rock narrowed the deeper, they dug.

Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén-Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) zhù zài dìxià. Tōngguò duì Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén-Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) chéngshì de fēnxī, kěyǐ hěn róngyì dì dédào tāmen dàozhì de yìnxiàng, yīnwèi shēn wā dào yánshí zhōng de jiànzhú wù yuè shēn yuè shēn.

Some Wermaurth buildings were almost a mile deep forming a perfect V architecture. The surface of the Wermaurth planet was dotted with circles that from a distance appeared like asteroid strikes but were indeed dome like covers of the inverted cities.

Yīxiē Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén-Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) jiànzhú wù jīhū yī yīnglǐ shēn, xíngchéngle wánměi de V xíng jiànzhú. The surface of the planet was nearly inhospitable. From outer space its appearance gave the impression it was a lifeless planet. And since almost all the activity existed underground below the circular disk-shaped covers there would be no reason to think otherwise.

This living arrangement is what caught the Xer off guard. Had they not attempted their own planetary investigations as their space travel blossomed, it’s likely the Wermaurth might not have known of their existence for many generations nor ventured into space.

On that fateful day when the Xer landed on the dome of the Wermaurth City of Juxgen their destiny was set.

Zài Rénxíng Wài Xīng Rén - Zé ěr (Xer) jiàngluò zài Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén - Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) shì Yóu kè sī gēn (Juxgen) yuán dǐng dì nàgè zhòngyào rìzi lǐ, tāmen de mìngyùn déyǐ quèdìng.

The planetary Lander separated off the Xer research ship and began its descent down towards the Wermaurth planet. The almost lifeless planet had some mystique about it. The numerous meteorite craters on the lifeless planet gave a deception which the unsuspecting Xer didn’t figure out before their lander-space craft slowly approached one of those numerous crater impact zones.

Xíngxīng zhuólù qì jiāng Rénxíng Wài Xīng Rén - Zé ěr (Xer) yánjiū chuán fēnlí bìng kāishǐ xiàng Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén - Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) xíngxīng xiàjiàng. As the Lander got closer the Wermaurth crater they were landing in, the surface of the crater started giving an odd appearance. The perimeter of the crater had rock and debris however, in the middle, there was a clean surface that looked rather flat and had a strange appearance the closer they got.

Suízhe Xíngxīng Hángtiān Qì (Lander) yuè lái yuè jiējìn tāmen dēnglù de Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén - Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) huǒshān kǒu, huǒshān kǒu de biǎomiàn kāishǐ chūxiàn qíguài de wàiguān. The first indication the Wermaurth had visitors started with the Juxgen Power Company Control Room monitors responding to sudden alarms.

Páchóng Lèi Wài Xīng Rén - Wēi mò sī (Wermaurth) de dì yī gè jīxiàng biǎomíng, Yóu kè sī gēn (Juxgen) diànlì gōngsī kòngzhì shì de jiānkòng qì xiǎngyìng tú fā jǐngbào.

The control center of the Juxgen Power Distribution Center computer displays showed a sudden dead spot in the middle of one of their solar power grids. Even it was a small dip, the fact it occurred in the center of the solar grid gave an ominous signal that something bad was happening to the solar power grid.

Send repairmen up to the solar grid and see if we got some damage, Juxgen Power Company supervisor stated as he observed the diagnostic data.

Perhaps a meteorite struck the power grid? One of the Engineers on watch asked.

Yěxǔ yī kē yǔnshí jí zhòng le diànwǎng? Yī wèi gōngchéngshī duì cǐ biǎoshì huáiyí.

If not then we might have another superconductor failure at a major tie point, Juxgen Power Company supervisor replied.

Yes, we will have to shut down a section to make repairs if that’s the case, the Juxgen Power Company supervisor commented.

Shì de, rúguǒ qíngkuàng quèshí rúcǐ, wǒmen jiāng bùdé bù guānbì yīgè bùfèn jìnxíng wéixiū, Yóu kè sī gēn (Juxgen) diànlì gōngsī de zhǔguǎn pínglùn dào.

It’s not like other grids that failed, the power sagged slowly, not the abrupt failure we normally get, The Juxgen Power Company engineer noted.

Zhè bù xiàng qítā diànwǎng shībài, diànlì huǎnmàn xiàjiàng, ér bùshì wǒmen tōngcháng huì túrán shībài, Yóu kè sī gēn (Juxgen) diànlì gōngsī gōngchéngshī zhǐchū.

In a short time, the repairmen wearing solar suits to protect them from getting sun exposure rode the elevator up the service entry. The elevator stopped, the Wermaurth electrical-utility workers left the elevator, and then walked up a series of stairs to the surface of the solar panel dome. Without the sun visors their eyesight would feel painful. Wermaurth never looked at direct sunlight. Living in reduced lighting underground, made their eyes very susceptible to intensive sun glare they were not accustomed. Also, their skin would burn quickly in direct sunlight, so they always wore protective clothing.

The Wermaurth electrical utility workers wore special helmets with visors that automatically adjusted to the level of light they entered. As soon as the Wermaurth walked out on the solar grid, they were astonished, at the sight they immediately witnessed.

The space explorers from the Xer planet wearing their space suits looked quite frightening standing next to their space craft a short distance away. Even though the planet had an atmosphere and was not too much different in temperature than the Xer world, they had to take precautions for alien pathogens and other concerns.

Slepska stepped down the portable ladder on the Xer planetary-lander. He was not facing the Wermaurth solar array service-entrance and had not yet seen the aliens. He was soon followed by Orglar another Xer astronaut also exiting the planetary lander spacecraft.

Command ship, can you see this pattern? Slepska asked as his camera more or less focused on where the sensors tracked his eye movement. The commander in the lander space craft as well as the captain of the inter-planet research space craft getting the live video and audio feed were also monitoring and astonished as the surface seems to be covered with tile like sheets that clearly had repeating patterns of areas to them.

The two Xer space explorers were looking away from the service entry as the Wermaurth climbed up the stairs and had their first initial surprise and shock at seeing the aliens and space craft. The Wermaurth utility company workers were not mentally prepared to see these aliens and their space craft. Nothing in Wermaurth society prepared them from the notion of extra-terrestrials. And all of a sudden, here were the horrific looking creatures and some craft right in front of them only a few hundred yards away, right in the area they were being sent to investigate!

In hindsight, it was poor planning for the Wermaurth not to have some type of video surveillance to monitor the surface of their planet. But because there had never been any extra-terrestrial alien visitors from outer space, and no evidence any has ever existed, their complacency showed irrationality.

Their supervisor called them on their service phone built into their helmets that also provided the protective visors.

Prubien, a Wermaurth Juxgen Power Company maintenance supervisor and taskmaster was not in the mood to deal with workers acting strange.

The distance from the control room to the elevator was approximately half mile away and used for emergency access to conduct corrective maintenance. Prubien had an electric cart that got him to the service elevator in a short period of time where the workers service cart was parked, he pulled in behind their cart and stopped. The hallway was wide enough for pedestrians plus the electric carts which were utilized to get to other power grids nearby. Some of the solar power grids were up to five miles away as there were numerous arrays that appeared as multiple asteroid impact zones from space.

The two crew members on the Xer Planetary Lander quickly focused on the moving creatures and with much greater magnification on the Lander’s photonics. They examined the image and began recording and transmitting the signals up to the Xer research ship that was currently orbiting the planet.

Wermaurth scientists monitored radio waves for indications of possible extra-terrestrial life. Having not found any evidence, they were almost to conclude the ancients had made up the story about planetary explorer visits long ago. These were not the Xer, nor did they ever return in thousands of years. The information and history gradually decayed to be considered just Wermaurth folklore since no credible evidence existed from those primitive times.

The Xer not knowing what to expect were dazzled when the Wermaurth power workers approached them all of a sudden. Soon they were standing and facing each other. Because the Xer had the protective suits on and the Wermaurth wore the protective clothing and head piece, they would not know what the other’s appearance looked like. Both groups attempted conversation but did not achieve much as each part felt the other simply made noise which each other could not understand.

After a few frustrating moments when nothing could be resolved in communications, the Xer climbed back in their ship after they worked out hand signals indicating they were leaving. The Wermaurth did not see how they arrived but instinctively stepped back which was a smart policy because no sooner than the Xer got back into the Lander, it launched and went back into space and mated up with the research ship so they could travel back to the Xer home planet.

It’s only a matter of time before Earth gets its wakeup call, Rex said as he examined the signals trying to determine if he was really seeing what he thought indicated these strange signals came from outer-space.

Zài dìqiú huòdé huànxǐng diànhuà zhīqián, zhè zhǐshì shíjiān wèntí, léi kè sī zài jiǎnchá xìnhào shí shìtú quèdìng tā shìfǒu zhēn de kàn dàole tā rènwéi zhèxiē qíguài de xìnhào láizì wài tàikōng de xìnhào.

What we didn’t expect was finding two at once, Clifford responded as he watched Rex’s frustration.

Wǒmen méi xiǎngdào de shì yīcì zhǎodào liǎng gè, kèlì fú dé huí yìng shí kànzhe léi kè sī de jǔsàng.

By almost a miracle, Rex was working on his antenna, tweaking the complex conjugate match device built using a tuner he removed from an antique tube radio, to get a little better reception when all of a sudden, the signals appeared.

Jīhū shì yīgè qíjī, léi kè sī zhèngzài yánjiū tā de tiānxiàn, tiáozhěng fùzá de gòng è pǐpèi zhuāngzhì, shǐyòng tā cóng gǔdǒng diànzǐguǎn shōuyīnjī zhōng qǔchū de tiáoxié qì, yǐbiàn zài túrán chūxiàn xìnhào shí huòdé gèng hǎo de jiēshōu xiàoguǒ.

This damn antenna is really frustraiting, Rex said as his anger appeared growing by the minute as he attempted to get a better connection to the hand built parabolic antenna.

The 1970’s and early 1980’s was a good time for Nerds. Microprocessors were quickly transforming society. Scientists who were former Nerds demonstrated they could do amazing projects with 64 Kbytes of RAM and Z80A microprocessors. The first generation of personal computers were soon in the hands of many Nerds like Rex and Clifford which was now speeding up the incredible number of gadgets society now had and were now filling up the basement, where the two young men explored the universe.

The late 1970’s was a great time for a young man to explore the world and get exposed to an ever-increased explosion of technology that was slowly gripping mankind. America’s hope for the Space Shuttle was soon to be realized. Popular Mechanics Magazines and Isaac Asimov’s science fiction novels influenced Rex and Clifford a great deal. It was a unique period that comes only once in a generation.

Rex’s father got his baptism in fire in Korea which exposed him to electronics thanks to the Army Signal Corps and all the new gadgets springing up that carried over from many years of ham radios. Knowing what he went through in Korea and what possibly Rex might endure especially after watching Walter Cronkite and the Vietnam War every evening on TV news, he made sure Rex experienced many things in life, just in case it was cut short.

The Xer mission had far reaching consequences. Xer scientists instantaneously knew, after intensive study of the tile like surface structure all those asteroid impact areas were something else. The list of possibilities was very short, with the leading probable explanation: These objects are solar or energy collectors.

Xer Scientists who were brought into the case, were asked to carefully analyze the video the research spacecraft took, while it orbited the extra-terrestrial planet, and provide a summary of how many of those asteroid impact areas had the appearance of a solar collectors. One Xer scientist immediately announced that he had a method of making a determination of which of the objects were solar collectors and which were actual asteroid impact craters.

Our detailed analysis of the grid pattern the astronaut’s video recorded close up on the extra-terrestrial planet, establishes the conclusion: these must be manufactured panels. As we applied different filters to the sensors, we determined the panels are radiating certain wavelengths as a byproduct of the photo electric effect.

Most likely it’s a side effect of a very efficient collector. Photons strike the surface which produces the charge which is no doubt building up a thin cover of highly ionized particles so that when more photons strike those ionized regions, it tends to grow and in the process releases sub particles shook out in the process in the form of radiation.

The Wermaurth had never developed flight since the underground transportation system seemed adequate and after some time when electrical science evolved, they developed underground transportation which facilitated expanded mining operations as well as better ability to move food and minerals from one tribe to another. Eventually the tribes discovered many generations ago, means of communicating long distance initially by coded messages hammered into rock that was replaced by metallic channels that seemed to carry the messages at indefinite distances. The Wermaurth planet was hence slowly unified and technology sprang forward.
