In fact, culture, chemistry, and heart won’t just help you win in athletics but in life as well. Allison walks you through how staying focused on your vision and values can help you create winning teams. He also explores how to:
• share your leadership with others;
• get players to play for you the right way;
• identify skills of individual players and promote chemistry.
Everyone wants to win, but there’s a process in learning how to win. While coaching at the highest level of youth basketball, the author found the secret sauce to create winning teams, which begins with having the right mindset.

From Players and Coaches
Derrick Walton, Jr.: University of Michigan, LA Clippers, Detroit Pistons, and Philadelphia 76ers
Image4.jpgFalling in love with the grind and discipline is the key to success. It’ll push you through days mentally and physically that you don’t have the strength to do it!
Isaiah Livers: University of Michigan, 2021 NBA Draft
What made our team the best, was that we had expectations of being the best team. We were just a group of guys who loved the game of basketball. I remember our team being the most connected team every tournament. Win or lose we stayed by each other’s side!
Xavier Tillman: Michigan State University, Memphis Grizzles
I feel like this squad was ultra-competitive. Nobody expected guys out of Michigan to turn into the best team in the country, but we did! Every one of us wanted to be the best. That’s what pushed us to be so good together.
Matthew Beachler: Starting Shooting Guard at Central Michigan University
It was a great experience to have a group of individuals come together as a team and fight for a common goal. We understood that if our team were successful, that individual accolades would come.
Coach Brandon Berrett: Head High School Basketball Coach, University Prep
"We were a great program because we followed each other’s success. We made sure to stay close as coaches. All of our players
