INTRODUCTION
Many of us think of scientists as men and women in white lab coats looking through a microscope. The truth is that the lab coat only made its first appearance in the 1800s; therefore, Isaac Newton, born in 1600, most likely did not don one.
You are probably familiar with things like refrigerators, electric motors, Li-on batteries, and radio receivers, but do you know the great scientists behind these inventions that we enjoy in our modern world?
In this book, we will explore some of the greatest scientists, giving you an insight into their lives and contributions to the world. Perhaps reading this book will inspire you in your self-discovery or simply give you a deeper appreciation for the scientists who have made our world a better place with their contributions.
