About this ebook

Billions of years in the future, humanity is on the brink of extinction on Earth. An expanding sun will soon extinguish the existence of the indigenous people and their home. Their Tribe, love Earth enough that they are willing to live on the home planet even if it means death. Even against the wishes of the Intergalactic Empire.

After the collision of the Milky Way Galaxy and the Andromeda Galaxy, a Council was formed aligning all federations to form an escape plan from the impending doom of an exploding sun. They planned escape on a fleet of Starships that would take them to new and undiscovered parts of the galaxies. Although, those deemed dangerous to the fragile existence to humanity in space were imprisoned in the Space Prisms built for humanitys transition from Earth, to beyond.

The Glasters, a power-hungry family, seized power over their Prism. Marcum Glasters loyal allies helped them overthrow any opposition, violently, and bred a happy lifetime for their new-born daughter: Elizabeth.

The Saphyras were the head of the police force, and widely respected throughout the newly-formed Intergalactic Empire. Their removal from the escape plan was a surprise, but they seized political power of their Space Prism through their well-ordered power structures and honor of Joaquim Saphyra.

This is the story of how one mysterious man brought these two incongruent families together forever...

What might one say about who I am? Shakespeare would be proud to hear that I choose to be. Alive, here on Earth, its nice just to breathe freely. As for who I am, I grew up in Dallas, Texas; and am a student at the University of Texas. Here I studied an assortment of things from Math and Computer Science to Philosophy and Advertising, ending up as a Rhetoric and Writing major. As of late, my life has involved the creation of my first ever short-film. As I myself am a fan of culture, it is my dream to contribute to it, because life just wouldnt be the same without it.

    PROLOGUE

A BLONDE HAIRED MAN TELEPORTS into the street. He stumbles forward and knocks on the door in front of his house. Not thinking of anything in particular. Joaquin Saphyra answers the door. He looks out at the gates, then stares down this anonymous man with a bag of papers under his arm.

How did you get here? Joaquin asked. Travis looked around at the columns and fountains and gardens. I have no idea. The man answered honestly.

What is your name? Joaquin asked.

I was hoping to find that out myself. The man answered.

I lost a friend named Travis. How does that sound? Joaquin implied.

Sounds good to me. Travis. I can live with it. Travis answered.

Why don’t you come in so we can look at those relics? Joaquin said.

How very kind of you. Travis answered.

Not many people have ever made it through my security. We take that keenly under interest in this Space Prism. Joaquin continued as they walked in the opening hallway. He turned the light on in the kitchen. It’s a mystery how you got here. One that gives me grace from folly in a boring world. Well, I guess we’re not in a world, more like a prison; but one that we control. Anyways… we’re not on Earth. How come you don’t know anything? Joaquin got some food out of the fridge.

    I don’t know? Travis shrugged.

He started pulling out some blueprints, letters, and maps. All types of information, equations, and graphs. It was so much knowledge, he was unsure where to start.

Can you read? Joaquin asked. Yes, I understand all of this for some reason. I just can’t remember a thing. Travis answered.

    FAMILY IS FOREVER

T HE UNSTABLE LIGHTNING STREAMING off Kenneth’s ray gun illuminated the semi-circular room with bright white light. He held the trigger strong, even as the clear shield guarding his hand grew red hot. Kenneth felt self-conscious about the fact that he was holding a gun that looked like it was built the night before.

Travis would have to explain the design to him, but it looked like all the planets stacked in a barrel, with a black handle grooved perfectly to fit in Kenneth’s fingers as he squeezed the trigger. The power of the recoil kept his muscles bulging, and he was beginning to sweat. He decided to look around. With his feet firmly planted, one slightly in front of the other, he had less than 180° worth of perspective, but it was enough to enjoy the beautiful setting growing around him.

Also, he needed to distract himself from the powerful stance his body and mind had taken in firing the immense energy this toy of Travis’ required. It made him feel as if he was at the center of the Universe, like everything was spinning around him—instead of the Supermassive Black Hole holding the known universe together. He also felt as time had frozen forever, and that each second passing was actually a millennium of years.

Even the walls surrounding him had started off all black, they were slowly gaining beautiful colors. Many lightning bolts of violet, blue, green, orange, green, and yellow bounced off the stream of unstable, white lightning which the ray gun was firing in order to cut the floor. Those bolts of lightning bouncing off the stream of unstoppable energy left streaks of beautiful lines sprawled all along the wall. The trails started to run over each other as the wall began to craft beautifully splatter illustrations of colors. Their patterns were mathematical and display immense physical beauty, growing around him.

All the while, Kenneth had made great progress in growing the parabola of red hot magma cutting through the floor. It resonated from the trail that Kenneth was leaving, and the heat left from the exchange was melting the floor Kenneth and Travis and Elizabeth were standing on. All was going according to their plan. Except for the walls in front of Kenneth were beginning to crumble. The resonating impact of all those stray lightning bolts bashing their barrier in was trouble.

The wall will only last for a few FLEETING moments!! Kenneth exclaimed.

Travis, are you even listening? Kenneth yelled over his shoulder.

He wasn’t sure if he was being heard and ignored, or if the sound of the ray gun was extremely loud. Lightning at least distracted him from his lonely enclosure…

He decided to remember the escape from the Glaster’s prison. The jetpack only had room to take the three of them, spiraling to the top of Pseudosphere. This was not according to plan. Travis had decided, the night before to change the plans. The enemy force was way stronger than any of them had expected. As if they were there for some other reason.

Too many loyal to the Glasters were dying to ensure the family’s survival against the robots. Their initial attack had turned into a hurried retreat to their capital. The King, Marcum Glaster, was pacing back and forth in his room, listening to the sounds battle. It was heart-wrench to watch as the young valiant chosen prince of the Prism blasted off into space. He couldn’t stand for it!

Kenneth had no choice but to accept this as fate.

This was uncharted territory, as their whole life had been in the prison, floating above the Earth. The very prison Kenneth’s eyes looked up for, as he was flying towards the Earth, after blasting a hole in the upper barrier and escaping. Only to be followed by the full might of the robotic forces. Travis was using lasers from his wrist-watch to fight, and Kenneth unloaded his ammo with his assault launcher. This perfectly fitted Travis’ personality. He was one for the bravado.

Kenneth was able to see why they called it the Prism from the Earth’s pseudosphere. It was a magnificent diamond form which had a small hole in the bottom. With one glance, he realized the shape was deeper than the portion his people had been living in. They had been living on the top.

The moment only lasted for a second.

It took some time for Kenneth to pull out his pocket companion. The light only helped Kenneth see his sister and Travis in a warm embrace, kissing. He looked down awkwardly, until Travis tossed a ray gun in front of his face. Kenneth caught it.

When Travis heard the sound of Kenneth catching the ray gun, he repositioned Elizabeth under his right arm and told Kenneth to use that to cut a whole in the ground. It was a mirror, reflecting their forms. Upon pulling the trigger, the ray gun began to shoot a beam of lightning at the floor.

Which brings us back to the present moment.

Kenneth had been holding this for what felt like days and was needing reassurance that things were still going well. He had distracted himself for some time, to make a lot of progress with cutting the floor; but his anxiety was growing. His sense of danger was rapidly increasing.

Yes, it’s still me, KENNETH MARCUM GLASTER. He announced.

Kenneth’s hand was starting to sweat profusely as well, and he was afraid that his grip was going to slip. What Travis knew was that he had been using the most powerful weapon in the history of the Universe. From what Travis knew, there had never been anything stronger than that gun he had invented the night before. Little did Kenneth know of such a masterpiece, even though it was in his hands.

Travis meanwhile, was making beautiful memories with Elizabeth… the women he and Travis had fought so hard to help rescue. They didn’t have to be quiet — but since the gun that Kenneth was struggling with was enough to destroy the end of the Universe — Travis made sure to keep his woman distracted with fancier things.

They both had both placed speakers in their ears with microphones listening to their voices so they could talk to each other quietly over the air waves. Travis thought it would be good to just let Kenneth air out his concerns while he reminisced with his woman. Even if anger exacerbated the problem, there was almost no chance they were going to make it all to the underground together. This had all already been taking too long.

Besides his mind was with…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….………………..…Elizabeth……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..….as it had been a while……………………………………. ……………… to say the least.

    SUB-CHAPTER A: SUBATOMIC PROBLEMS!

Sweat trickled down Kenneth’s fingers. He was barely able to hold on to the raw power it required to cut through the barrier at their feet. However many forces were happening because of his hand pulling this trigger, he couldn’t understand, but he could hold on and fight for dear life; as this toy of Travis’ did all the real work. What would happen if he opened it all opened up?

This was it, the Earth he had been longing for his entire life. Kenneth couldn’t help but foster the vain belief that this was his chance to dance in the heavens of the humans. His ancestors had fought and died, just to give him the chance to make it out of his imprisonment in order to land himself in Travis’ plot. A simple device! Teleportation made life easy, especially when a phone could drop out of thin air and be untraceable enough to plan a unified assault against the Intergalactic Council. Why couldn’t they teleport now?

Travis meanwhile, hadn’t had time to explain it all before the battling had begun, but then when he started firing he knew what was going on. The only thing to calm his troubled spirit was the beauty of the subatomic particles being ripped apart in such a powerful fashion!

    I’M ALMOST THROUGH!

Kenneth yelled, escaping his spiraling thought.

    SUB-CHAPTER B: WATCH THE TIME

Shields at 15 percent! Travis’ watch sounded of in musical perfection. What is this!?! Elizabeth sung out gleefully, escaping Travis’ kiss but not the embrace of his hands in a passionate grip. She acted surprised by the simple technology, but Travis understood what she was really talking about.

Elizabeth had sensed the reality of the situation already! Travis answered as playfully as he could without confirming too much of what was really going on.This is our little robotic friend. A voice, that reminds me of what it was like when I was child. I think you’ll grow to love it. If you stick with me long enough, I’ll get you your own one as well. I think of this one as my kid. He smiled at that last little tidbit. Which reminds me. Travis pushed away from Elizabeth’s embrace.

He bent down on one knee and propped his hand underneath hers. She began to cry softly…After a few muzzled breaths Travis slipped a ring onto her finger. Their engagement had been complete. The watch will be your wedding present, if the day ever arises. Elizabeth realized that the whole time Travis was talking she was holding her breath. She remember to breathe and started to think. And I mean think, on so many levels that she just knew what she wanted to say.Travis, I love you but you have to figure out how to treat a women. You can play your little games with your little toys but if you really want me forever I’m going to expect a little more stability from you. I know you have dreams of escaping, with me, but you have to understand that that… that will never happen.

All the while, her body twisted away from Travis’ embrace. Yet her hand stood still in place. There was little to deny her attraction. We can have our fun, but when time runs out. We’ll both go our separate ways again She began crying as she summoned the courage to go on, choking back tears to complete her thought and not lose the moment. Travis this will never end up going well! You know bad things always happen when we do this.

    The tears overwhelmed her.

    IT’S DONE!

Kenneth broke them from their trance and brought them back to the reality of the moment.

    SUB-CHAPTER C: SUPEREGO AND ID

Travis immediately lifted Elizabeth with his arms around her hips. Tears were streaming down her face. Next he shifted a few awkward yet graceful steps over and dropped her down the hole Kenneth had created. Then Travis laughed. They had never thought he could possibly break through, but he had the help of Leopold. A new-found friend of his from the Saphyra’s people.

Kenneth had been looking at the Earth so gracefully, but when he saw Elizabeth zip on past his view, his heart
