    Crystal Jones

I T WAS A sunny day on the beautiful island of Barbuda. Crystal decided to take advantage of the day and spend it on the beach. Crystal Jones was visiting on Spring Break to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York City. She is a senior at Columbia University studying Hotel Management and what better way to see first-hand how to run a hotel in the Caribbean. Crystal saved a brochure she got in the mail and decided she could use the get-away. The island was celebrating its Independence, so all the hotels were booked. She was able to get a room at a local guesthouse called Mango Manor. The beautiful bright colors stood out this quaint establishment which was located not too far from the heart of town surrounded by delicious local fruit trees. She was awakened to the gentle sound of steelpan music and admired the colorful West Indian breakfast prepared for the guests and the sweet aroma lingering through the air. She was anxious to eat something other than her usual bagel and coffee. With a big smile on her face she indulged in the papaya and mango slices. Curiosity got the best of her as she watched the other guests open this strange looking fruit that had a signed in front of it labeled sugar apples. To her amazement she loved the taste and chuckled to be living the island dream. A West Indian Breakfast was prepared buffet style and she packed her plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and hibiscus ginger tea. She bypassed the islands traditional stewed saltfish, eggplant and okra combination, pumpkin fritters and sliced butter bread. Searching for a place to sit, she noticed a gentleman sitting at a table by himself and Crystal approached him.

Hello there, is someone sitting with you?

No, you may sit. Said the gentleman.

This gentleman was nicely built with a cute mustache and goatee that caught Crystal’s eyes.

Hi, my name is Crystal Jones.

Hello, my name is Desmond Richards nice to meet you.

    "Is this your first time
