    About the Author

    This fifth and final book in the Adventures of Olivier & Joaquin series marks the culmination of 56 trips to visit my sons in Argentina between December 2005 and July 2017 that resulted in their being allowed to come and explore their other country of citizenship – Canada – in July 2017.

    Joaquin and Olivier landed in Ottawa on July 1st – Canada Day – to mark our country’s 150th anniversary and celebrations. This book loosely recounts our 28-day adventure across four of Canada’s 10 provinces and three territories, and describes those parts of Canada Joaquin and Olivier have yet to explore on future trips.

    This book is as much a guide and keepsake for Olivier and Joaquin, and readers like you who have taken such a keen interest in their lives, as it is an invitation to my sons – teenagers growing into young men – to fully assume their independence and write their own life stories. We hope you enjoy this one – it is our story that we wish to share with you.

    "All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves;

    I looked for him but did not find him.

    I will get up now and go about the city, through its streets and squares;

    I will search for the one my heart loves. So I looked for him but did not find him.

    The watchmen found me as they made their rounds in the city.

    ‘Have you seen the one my heart loves?’
