ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
To my wife and children, and the sound ministers of God
Special thanks to my wife Flora and my sons (Benson, Boniface and Barry) for their love, support and diligence. I know it was difficult to do two things at the same time (loving and caring for you with labouring in writing this book) but through Jesus Christ who strengthens us we made it. Thanks and praises to the Lord.
Thanks to the ministers of God in the New Testament: Jesus Christ, Peter, Paul and Apollos. Their world service during the 1st Century was special, remarkable and outstanding. Lord, you came and showed how to serve God in the ministry, you were mighty in speech and deeds. While doing apostleship in Israel and Galilee of Gentile, you also did discipleship. It was through your discipleship that Peter and twelve men were called, empowered and sent. To these chosen men, you gave them authority and commission to carry the gospel ministry to the 1st Century. And because of their devotion, the ancient world during their time knew God and received his salvation. Lord, thank you also for Paul, who although out of time, he served God and minister to people days later after Peter and the twelve men. In his apostleship to the Gentile world, Paul knew his purpose and did it by grace. He knew who called him and set him apart (the Lord Jesus Christ), he knew his message (the gospel), he knew his mission field (the Gentile world), and he was able to accomplish many things. His outstanding works include: multitudes of souls were saved, churches were opened, and he mentored young protégé Timothy who later became a sound minister, pastor and witness at Ephesus. He wrote large part of New Testament Scriptures and he was respected and recognized as a diligent minister of the gospel. Lord, thank you finally for Apollos, a man with fervent spirit, mighty in the Scripture whom you used as a vessel to testify that you are the Christ. In the history of the gospel ministry, you cannot talk of Peter and Paul without mention Apollos. Among his outstanding works were: he testified Christ by Scriptures and made impact, he was advised by the missionary couple Aquila and Priscilla and he received the discipleship and Holy Spirit impartation. He helped many Christians who were saved in the grace, he was respected and recognized alongside Peter and Paul. His name is mentioned in the book of Acts by Luke the physician and in the Epistles of Paul as a key person during 1st Century World and living testimony for today.
Lord Jesus, you and all these men, Peter, Paul and Apollos during the ancient world, you changed lives and many people came to know God by the gospel. Lord, you have left us a challenge for our modern world, the new platform of the Holy Spirit. The stories of the gospel and work of God in the books of the four gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles of Peter, Paul and others, and book of prophecy by John are the challenge to our new days. In the four gospels and the books of Acts, when we read of mighty works of God, we are challenged. For we see and hear in the pages of Scriptures: salvation, healing, miracles, deliverance, living in plenty, Holy Spirit impartation to people and places changed by the gospel impact. Thank you Lord Jesus for what Scriptures show us. This is our special time to move with God and shake the world by the gospel.

PROLOGUE
The 1st Century World, during their days
There was a man named John, he was the prophet of the highest, a great preacher and a water Baptist. His parents were known Zacharias and Elisabeth. This man was filled with the Holy Spirit in his mother’s womb. He did not drink wine and any strong drink. As a child he grew up in the ways of God and was strong in the Spirit. He lived in the deserts, until the day of the debut of his ministry (Luke 3:2-3). His clothes were Camel’s hair and he wore in his waist a leather belt. His food was locusts and honey. This man, John the Baptist his birth and ministry was prophesied by Isaiah the prophet. He was a voice of one, who crying in the wilderness to the people prepare the way of the Lord and make his paths straight
. What was the work of the Lord, he did? His key works were: he was a forerunner of Jesus. He prophesied Jesus will baptise with the Holy Spirit and fire. He preached the kingdom message of repentance. He warned and rebuked sin and adultery of a Herod. He told Herod boldly, it is not lawful for you to have a wife of your brother. It was this incident that cost him personal freedom and later on he lost his life. When he was in prison, he sent for his disciples to ask whether Jesus was the Promised Messiah by the prophets. He was tested and was in doubt of Jesus, who he baptised and fulfil all righteousness at River Jordan. But before Water Baptism Service, he heard the voice of God, that the person who you will see the Holy Spirit descend upon him like a dove, he is the Messiah, the Christ of God, the Anointed One. John’s ministry purpose was to show people the coming Messiah.
Then came Jesus after John the Baptist. The parents of Jesus were Joseph and Mary. They were appointed and ordained by God to birth and raise up Jesus. Jesus was born by the power of the Highest when the Holy Spirit came upon Mary. The day that Jesus was born, the angel testified today I bring to you the Glad Tidings of great joy. For unto all people is born in the city of David, a Saviour, Christ the Lord. Jesus grew up in stature, wisdom and the grace of God was upon him. His childhood and youth experiences were, Joseph was a carpenter and Jesus worked diligently in his industry. At the age of twelve he was lost for three days and then he was found in the temple by his parents. He was found sitting in the midst of teachers, listening and asking them questions. When Mary asked him, he answered them, I must be in my Father’s business. And his parents did not understand his statement. For eighteen years, from twelve years of old, the Bible is silent about Jesus’ life at young age. There is possibility that, he was working with his father Joseph in his carpentry Industry. For Joseph was a carpenter.
Both John and Jesus had the same ministry to some level. John came to introduce Jesus, he also preached the kingdom message. He prophesied that Jesus would baptise people with the Holy Spirit and with fire. John had prophetic ministry and so was Jesus. John was with Jesus related in the flesh. The only differences that John and Jesus had were: Jesus was the Promised Messiah, the chosen one (Luke 9:34-35). John preached and prophesied only. But Jesus preached, taught, prophesied and testified. John did not do any miraculous signs. But Jesus was mighty in deeds and speech in his ministry and prophecy (Luke 24:19). Just like Peter and Paul in their ministry and apostleship, they preached the gospel with signs and wonders (Acts 5:12 and Acts 15:12). But Apollos did not do any miraculous
