About the Author
Preface
THIS BOOK IS NOT written for someone to become a millionaire overnight, but to show you how to budget and preserve some of your hard earned money through saving and investing in different avenues. This is for the average person that can never seem to get ahead, or for the working class living paycheck to paycheck wondering how to save extra money. At the end of the week, they’re paying for gas with change that they dug out of there coin bank just to get to work to get their next paycheck. It always seems like it’s easy for a millionaire to tell you how to save your money. But until they walk the long hard road of paying for gas or food with the change they found around the house, they really don’t know what it’s like.
It’s a shame that nobody ever sits down and says Look this is how you budget and save money
. It has taken me years to find ways to budget, save, and invest. I learned the hard way... I started off living in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom single wide mobile home with my wife, who was expecting. With a child on the way, we already seemed like we were struggling to pay the simplest bills and falling behind quickly. Why, you may ask…because, we were never taught how to budget and save money. We spent money on things that we wanted rather than needed. A crucial step is realizing when to separate your wants from your needs.
As you go through this book, I will prepare you to be a more cautious spender. By the end, you will have some very good tips to make you more confident and less worrisome on how you’re going to live comfortably. I’m going to provide you with the basic tools to invest and to know some of the language of an investor. It’s funny, before I started investing, my friend Charlie brought a one ounce silver bar into work and said do you know what this is
? I took it out of his hand and said…no, what is it
? He laughed and said that’s a one ounce bar of silver
, I was hooked.
After investing in precious metals for some time, I wanted to learn about how to invest in
