About this ebook

These books were written through the eyes of a child with the hope that the younger children would hear and the older children would read that what they imagine or fear in their minds may not be as bad or scary as they might think. The wording is simple enough for beginning readers to read and for the younger children to comprehend. The subject matter is set as to what could be a major or new, unknown event that might occur in a childs life. It is the desire of the author to soothe the child and give the parents, grandparents, teens, or any other person in the childs life a way to communicate with the child and help the child understand how to deal with their emotions during these major events that seem so trivial to others. Please enjoy them and may all those that read them be blessed by their messages.

Author

R. L. McKid

The author first gives thanks to God for the gift and ability to write these books. He credits his mother for his creativity, his daughter’s doodling for the inspiration for the Holly and Honey series, and his wife for her unending support and encouragement to see this project through. He is a happy husband and proud father of four children. He has been a substitute teacher for multiple grades and subjects, helping him understand the many different personality types and how children differ from each other during different situations and phases of their lives. He has also coached multiple team sports at various age levels, allowing him to see the best and worst of those personalities. His return to college later in life helped prompt him to regain that love for children, with their tenderness and need to be comforted in troubled times.
