Faith: the Believers’ Rod
()
About this ebook
Faith: The Believers Rod is a product of a summer Bible school I facilitated. It opens with the prerequisite a reader must have for the book to be meaningfulaccept Jesus Christ as a personal savior.
With the human tendency to have something to hold on to, feel, and touch, this book recommends that faith in the redeeming power of Jesus Christ is that thing any Believer should hold on to. Although invisible, absolute faith in God could be a good stabilizing rod, just as Moses rod which God used to perform wonders.
The book defines faith but differentiates it from presumption, impression, or impulse, and points out why everyone needs a faith lift. The book proffers various ways of increasing ones faith and concludes with how to deal with Gods silence, when God does not speak.

said that a book is not the product of the author alone.
This is very true because this book in your hands is a product of a one-day Summer Bible School in 2011 facilitated by me at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mercy Seat Chapel in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA.
In my closing remarks that Saturday afternoon, I promised my audience that God willing, I plan to develop the presentation into a book for a wider audience and for posterity.
I thank God for the realization of the dream. Thank you to all who made the book a reality. In particular, I must mention the brother I met on the road of life’s journey, George Oyedele, who stood by me as always to make that seminar successful.
Somehow, I lack adequate words to deeply appreciate Pastor Olaolu Akande, who not only wrote the foreword to this book, but also greatly motivated me with constant assurances that the book, as small as it is, will add value to the reader.
I treasure the patience of my family throughout the period of putting the book together–our children: Judah, Joel and Joseph who didn’t really know what daddy was always doing, sitting at the computer, even when they needed attention. The joy is that tomorrow, they will grow to see this as a footprint by dad.
To my wife of inestimable value, I value your understanding, as trying as the times of writing this book was, faith in God of a better tomorrow did it for us.
To God almighty, whose race we are running here on earth, I say thank you Lord for using me as a tool to pass this message of faith to mankind.
Foreword
We are people of faith. In good times, in tough times and in changing times, our identity should not change, since the power that drives our faith never changes.
All that God has to offer us, through Christ Jesus is by grace through faith, as Apostle Paul made clear in his epistle to the Ephesians.
Now, Grace is God’s own offering to you and faith is our own offering to God. Seen from such a prism, we then can appreciate the crucial factor that faith is, for which reason, Pastor Williams Ekanem has titled this book Faith: The Believers’ Rod.
It is with your faith that you walk with God, and it is with your faith that you can influence God. It is with your faith that you can impact your world as a believer and it is with your faith that you can draw on the power that is in the name of Jesus!
As the Believers’ rod, your faith is not an accessory that beautifies or merely complements. Even though it ultimately does those things, but it has far too much more to offer! Our faith is our balance, our stay, and by it we hold sway!
The treatment that the Pastor and Journalist Ekanem has given this central subject
