    The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father which art in Heaven,

    Hallowed be thy name.

    Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

    And forgive us our debts,

    as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

    but deliver us from evil:

    For thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory, for ever.

    Amen.

    Chapter 1

    The Next Generation

We have all heard about the cosmic balance a.k.a. Yin and Yang. It explains that there is a dark and light (or bad and good) side to everything and everyone. But several thousand years ago, God made a world where demons live (just as angels live in heaven), a dimension separate from earth, by the name of Demontia, that branches off from Heaven’s true polar opposite: Hell. The dimension that branches off from Heaven is Earth; Demontia’s true polar opposite.

Demontia is accessible only by God and the Devil, and whoever, or whatever, one or the other allows through the portal between the dimensions. Transport to and from Demontia—and to and from Earth—is unseen to everyone and everything that God doesn’t want to see it. Earth and Demontia are supposed to be separate, but lately, it seems that Demontia and Earth have been starting to merge. And Demontia seems to be taking over. But God will never let that happen.

You see, God devised a plan for this long ago. The ultimate plan is for Jesus Christ to come back to Earth and take His worthy followers back with Him to Heaven. But until then, God assigned a hero to protect Earth from the demons that are too strong for even the strongest Christian. That kind of demon is said to be able to possess people. But that’s all mental. Anyway, the plan I spoke of earlier involves both the dimensions of Earth and Demontia.

One day, in Demontia, two human looking creatures: a man wearing black Japanese samurai-style armor and a woman wearing a white cloak that shadowed out her eyes, were running down a street. You see, Demontia is designed just like Earth, except it’s full of demons instead of humans.

The woman was holding a baby who was sound asleep in her arms. She had a V shaped mark on her forehead—it was a type of birth mark. It had a dot in the middle of it like an olive in a wine glass. According to their written language the symbol meant, The riser of the unstoppable beast. She was wrapped in a white blanket with the Yin symbol—the dark side of the Yin-Yang symbol—stitched into it. The woman panted as she spoke to the man, Hurry, Slag, we have to get to the portal before my spiritual sleep wears off of Tri-Doom!

Slag panted as he said, I know, Sheckizon, I’m running as fast as I can! They turned toward the glow of the portal God had revealed to them. They soon found themselves running down a wide and well lit alley—not exactly the place you’d expect to find a monster—even though they knew they were going to run into one.

One week earlier, God sent these two a message. In a small box, they found outside their home, Sheckizon and Slag found a note that said:

You must send your daughter to Earth. When the time is right I shall open a portal for you. To all in Demontia, she is known as Phoenix, but to all who meet her on Earth, she shall be known as Dove.

Once you are there, you are to leave her at the address listed below and then you must return here. Though she will not see you for several years, I will give you a mirror that will let you watch her grow, learn, and develop both in body and spirit.

And when the time comes, I will allow you to return to her. But she will never be allowed to return to Demontia because she will become far too pure to return to your home in the world of Demons.

Sheckizon said, I’ll have to put Tri-Doom under a spiritual sleep. It won’t last long, but it should last long enough for us to do the task that God has given us.

Slag said, "I just hope Phoenix will have what it takes when the time comes."

Sheckizon was shocked by what Slag had said; so she said, "Why of course she will! God never makes mistakes! You know that!"

Realizing his sin, Slag said, Yes, I know. Just worry talking, I guess.

The time came the following Friday night, approximately one week later. They had almost reached the portal when they heard a loud roar, then a thunderous voice came over their ears; it was Tri-Doom. "So, you seriously thought it would be that easy
