About this ebook

This book is about a woman who died and was given a task from God. She was allowed to come back from death to deliver Gods directive to all.

Im writing this book for two reasons. The first is to tell all believers in the church of Jesus Christ to do your works while it is day, for when night comes, no man will be able to work. Only what we do for Christ will last. When we die, we can only take our work for Jesus with us. Naked we came into the world, and naked we will leave this world. Hebrews 9:27 says, And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

The second reason is to honor my parents.

I leave this book to the next generation. We have a great inheritance through Jesus our Lord and Savior.

As the angel was escorting me back to earth; I heard Jesus call my name while I was in mid air, and when I looked back Jesus was standing on the clouds. His hair was long and white as the clouds, His hair was blowing in the wind. And He spoke these words to me, Sonia, tell all your Sisters and Brothers I said to do their Work.

In 1984 I received a promise from the Lord that Steve would be my husband and that God would save him and give him to me. I have been in the fire and storm with my husband, but through it all, God has been with me. My husband received the Lord into his life in June 2014. He is again saved and attending church with me. To God be the glory. The storm isn’t over with him, but I do have a promise from God. God blessed me with three children: Dr. Candice Lea Barnett Mrs. Gloria Chandler-Shepard Jessie Folks, aka my baby Jay These are my heart babies. For I love them as if I had given birth to them from my heart. Love always, Mommy

    Acknowledgments

I give honor to God, my heavenly Father, and Him alone. I thank Jesus for saving me, sanctifying me, filling me with His precious Holy Spirit, and writing my name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. My heavenly Father gave me the mind to serve Him and Him alone.

I praise God for my pastor, the late C. R. Johnson, and my bishop, Gerald Seabrooks.

I praise Jesus for all the people He has put in my life who have helped me get to the place that God wanted me to get to.

    Introduction

I’m sitting here remembering my first revival many years ago in Brooklyn, New York. The Holy Spirit gave me my text from Matthew 25:13. He said, Your subject is, Don’t let the Lord come and catch you with your work undone. He began to put my message together for that night. It was my first time experiencing the voice of the Holy Spirit actually speaking to me. It was something that I will never forget. In Psalm 46:10–11, KJV, God commands His purpose in the earth. Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen. I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

How can we know God? There is only one way. God must tell us about Himself. In other words, God must reveal Himself to man. This is what God has done. After He made the world and man, He came to the first people to tell them about Himself—the world, His creatures, His will, and His purpose for their lives. As we read God’s word, He must reveal Himself to us. Matthew 16:13 reads, When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of Man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist; some Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for revealing Your Word to the church.

This book is about the church doing its work for Jesus. To become a servant in God’s kingdom, we must seek the kingdom of heaven first. I’m not talking about you working in the sanctuary or church on the auxiliaries. That isn’t working for Jesus. But what I am talking about is working in God’s kingdom: handing out tracts, going to the hospitals to
