The author, Malcolm W. Berkowitz, J. D., was an honor graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in 1947, elected to Phi Beta Kappa and obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, with honors. The author was a Veteran and served in the United States Army between 1943 and 1946 as Staff Sergeant, and was in overseas combat for one and one-half years.
