A Blaze Of Glory Ignites
Do not play with fire, just ask Asher Pow. He used to be a student who had no powers at Corner Edge Elementary School. Until one summer he fell into a huge active volcano while on an expedition with his dad, Mr. Pow.. Asher’s dad warned him to be careful and not fall in.
They walked to the edge of the volcano and it started erupting. Mr. Pow told Asher to stay away from the edge. Asher saw that the volcano was erupting and ran to his father to tell him. A powerful wind threw him over his dad and into the volcano.
Asher, no!
his dad yelled. I always told you not to play with fire and now you’re DEAD! I thought I could trust you on expeditions!
Mr. Pow started to reminisce about Asher. ‘I remember him saying he was fearless and free when he was little,’ He reminisced.. ’Dad, I would like to cook today,
I remember him saying. He always liked to play recklessly… Hoping he would get fire powers in this huge world of elemental powers...’ So after Asher fell into the volcano, he called his wife, Mrs. Pow, to tell her that they had lost a family member. But she had her own problems- she was on an expedition with Tyler, Asher’s twin, in the cold Arctic waters. There was a beep on her phone, and it was Mr. Pow, her husband. She answered the phone.
Asher is dead,
he said, in a melancholy voice.
Well, I hate to break it to ya, but Tyler is drowning,
his wife yelled.
Tyler had fallen off the ship he was on with his mom and drowned in the cold, icy waters. His mom was too scared to go in the waters and get him. It felt like Tyler was gone to her. He probably fell to the bottom of the ocean.
Get Tyler!
Mr. Pow’s voice shook. Please! Both of our twins are dying!
Tyler ended up in the hospital, although he didn’t las long, and Asher had a funeral.
Tyler, a very smart boy, and Asher, a daring hardhead, died at an elementary school age,
Pastor Ulturio said.
The Pow family, Mr., Mrs. Pow, and Penny started sobbing. However, something happened that changed the mood of the funeral. If Mr. Pow had stayed at the volcano he would’ve seen a bright red light shine out after Asher fell in.
Did someone call me?
Asher asked, burning the church door down.
He had returned with blazing ruby hair.
You came back with fire powers?
Mr. Pow rejoiced.
And I’m here!
Tyler remarked, walking through the door.
There was a sudden Amen!
in the church. Asher and Tyler turned a funeral to a party! But in the midst of the funeral, a wanted shooter came into the church. Tyler accidentally froze his entire body. Asher then melted the shooter and ashes fell to the ground.
I am usually not this mean,
Asher said. But nobody messes up my funeral- party!
You have ice powers now?
Penny asked, excitedly. But how? You guys should’ve died.
Superhero origin,
Asher said.
Asher is right,
Tyler said. We should’ve died, but now we have powers so someone must’ve chosen us...
Penny just stared.
Possibly,
Asher remarked.
After the funeral party, they learned how to use their elemental powers, fire and ice, and they practiced during the summer. Then, they started their first day of Middle School.
Now we can whip the bullies’ butts!
Asher chuckled.
Be good!
their mom warned as they left home, and she said, Bye,
as the door closed behind them.
They went to the bus, and the school bully, Drake Cunningkai, bumped into them.
What was that for?
" Asher yelled, enraged.
I dunno,
Drake smirked, Your stupidity?
You’re the only stupid one here,
Asher laughed. Cause’ I used to whip bullies’ butts back in the day!
Oh,
Tyler said, laughing. Roasted!
Oh,
Asher and Drake said in unison, It’s on!
They got to school and into class. After the homeroom teacher explained the rules, they went to their next class: History.
Now first, a fun fact!
Mr. Denver (the history teacher) said, Did you know the bestselling author, C.S. Lewis, fought in World War I?
Wow!
Asher said.
Next is something you might’ve seen on the news,
he said. A powerful stone called the Matter Stone is what the one country used to kill the people! Questions?
Yes sir!
Tyler said.
Go ahead, Tyler,
Mr. Denver said.
How powerful is the Matter Stone?
Tyler asked. And how did they find it?
We don’t exactly know that yet,
Mr. Denver sayid, looking at Asher who was asleep in class. Drake then bumped Asher, who spoke up. But it was powerful enough to kill the people!
No,
said a girl who had green hair dye.
What’s your name again?
Mr. Denver asked.
Gracious,
she said.
Go ahead, Gracious,
he said.
It was literally made in China,
Gracious explained. But then a Japanese guy must have stolen it because it was found in Japan by Germany in 1945. It can make any matter you like if you attain it.
Tyler didn’t say anything, because Drake would have bullied them. Class Dismissed,
Mr. Denver said.
Before they left, Tyler asked Gracious how she knew all that. Because I know where the Stone is,
she answered in a whisper.
After that, Mr. Denver ran into a secret room by saying the password, Dark Force Rules.
Master Killer,
he said, A girl named Gracious said that her parents have info on the Stone!
Then kidnap her, Cooler, before I drain your dark ice powers,
Killer said.
Sir, yes sir!
Cooler said.
Meanwhile, after school was done for the day, Tyler was walking onto the bus and said to Gracious, Ya know, Gracious, for a while, I thought me and Asher were the only ones,
Tyler said. When he turned around, he saw someone, in a blurr, kidnap Gracious and run away with her.
Gracious, NO!
Tyler said when the bus door closed. This is bad,
He told Asher. We have to get Gracious back!
Tyler said, once they got home from school.
Well, since we don’t know exactly where and who she is, so it is up to her to determine whether she escapes or not,
Asher said.
Aw,
Tyler sighed, She knew a lot of info about that powerful object. I bet someone took her because of that.
Meanwhile, Gracious was tied up and yelled at to force her to give info on the Matter Stone.
Tell me!
Cooler yelled. Tell me!
Ok,
she sighed, There it is.
she said, pointing to her parents’ desk.
Thank you,
Cooler said. Psych!
he said and then he left the room. The next day, Gracious told Asher and Tyler what had happened.
I know what’s happening,
Tyler said.
What is happening then?
Asher asked.
The Matter Stone!
he said. It has the power to amplify anyone’s matter elemental powers by 50. It can also fix anything that is material.
Wow!
Asher said. "Special
