The Alarik's Quest - Liegmy "Lee" Triana
T
HERE WAS A PLANET VERY FAR AWAY CALLED Alarik. It was an amazing place full of natural gardens, rivers, and mountains, and it had an enormous wild green forest that many people feared to cross. It was known for its wealthy lands full of natural resources and its unpredictable weather. It had many villages and different tribes, but there were four villages in particular that were considered to house the strongest and most united tribes of them all. They all had unique skills to survive. They all worked together, sharing ideas and helping each other out, especially when they went hunting to feed everybody.
One village only focused on farming and mating different animals to trade for weapons and supplies for the winter. They were very disciplined and were exceptionally hard workers. The second village specialized in hunting and fishing to feed everyone. They would spend days out in the wild hunting and gathering enough supplies for the village and extra for others that were in need. The third village focused on fixing and building things to make it easier to get around from village to village and to navigate faster through the rivers and open sea. They were very creative and dedicated, making the village a safe place.
The last village was made up of warriors, hunters, and protectors of all the land. Everybody had an important role and a job to do. Males, starting at age eleven, would wake up before the sun was out and head out to the mountains, fields, and the rivers to go fishing, hunting, and the like.
The rest would stay behind to work on the village and to fix things and help with anything that was needed. The women prepared meals and taught the younger girls how to follow their traditions, which had been in place for thousands of years. The elders would gather around and tell stories and share powerful knowledge from village to village, inspiring the new generation, teaching them the values of life and how powerful they could be if they worked together as one and learned the art of respect and loyalty—to be fearless and to always remember that Mother Earth is a source of life, not a resource.
