- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Private means NO touch, is the clear message of this book. This book should be used as a read aloud or a read together because of the nature of the book. The girl in the story was taught how to deal with being uncomfortable with some touch, accepting of other touch, but ultimately in charge of her body. She was not abused. This book just opens the door for discussion and awareness, and even how tell someone if you have been violated. The book uses the real words for boy & girl private parts but illustrates neither of them. Well written, simple, and teachable. Grades preK-4
