- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Having reread the first book some time recently and loving it, I decided to pick up another one. Only upon starting to read it did I recall that, even as a child, I only liked the first one and couldn't care less about the rest of them. It was living in the old train car that I loved not the mysteries. :D
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This early chapter book can also be defined as a realistic fictional. The children in the story are easy to relate to because they have very different personalities. They tackle adventure but always with the help of their grandfather. The plot has many different ups and downs which keeps the reader hooked and entertained. The children are constantly solving mysteries and once one mystery is solved another is unfolded. The ending relieves the reader and ends happy because the bad man is caught. The climaxes are identifiable and the organization is clear to readers.
