Warnings and Thanks
warning:
Most of the movies in this book are not fit for human consumption.
Trigger warnings galore. If you’re offended by anything at all, it would probably be best if you put this book down.
You have been warned!
(no refunds)
Jon’s Thank You
: to Chas Balun and Rue Morgue’s The Gore-Met for wading through these fetid waters before us, and to my wife for putting up with her horror nerd of a husband.
Ira’s Thank You
: I want to thank my father for getting a VCR that had fallen off the back of a truck
when I was 6-years old. A week later, he then decided that Texas Chainsaw Massacre was the best follow-up to the Pound Puppies video he got me. Thanks, dad!
note on the sick-o-meter
PLEASE NOTE! These scores do not reflect the goodness
of the movie in any way.
Each movie has been rated 1 thru 5 (5 being the most extreme) by either Jon or Ira based solely on their own experience. With that, the rating is pretty unscientific in that it is inspired by the amount of gore and the potential to disturb the person watching it.
i.e., a tooth-pulling scene could rate a 5 to one person. Someone with only three real
teeth left (like Ira) might rate it only a 1. So be warned, something that we put as a 1 could have scenes that rate much higher to you, and vice versa.

Like most things, there is a certain level of elitism in the genre, but there is no room for
