Karen Nicksich is a dedicated and talented writer with a keen eye for developing stories that inspire and encourage young readers to come to love reading. Karen was a teacher for almost thirty-five years. She attended college in Colorado and holds a gifted and talented education endorsement. She grew up in Upstate New York. Currently, Karen is living in Richland, Washington, with her husband John; son, William; daughter, Rachel; and their two dogs, Maddie and Oddie. When Karen is not writing, she volunteers for Love on a Leash with Maddie, a therapy dog. This is the third book Karen has written about dogs.
