Unite My City - Jason Law

In Unite My City, Jason Law suggests that there’s so much more that we can do if we, as the Church, will work together. That is something that I’ve found to be completely true, and I’m excited to see this book get in the hands and hearts of people everywhere — so that, hopefully, more people will decide to choose connecting rather than isolating. Jason writes from a tremendously deep legacy of ministry experience, and yet he has a relevant and authentic way of presenting his thoughts — making this a book I hope you’ll decide to take into your own life.

    Dino Rizzo

    Executive Director

    ARC (Association Related Churches)

Jason Law is one of the most outstanding young leaders in our nation right now. He is a voice of unity and compassion in our city and in the world. I love his heart for people and his heart for uniting the Church. His words will inspire you, challenge you, and give practical steps on how to live out this message.

    Paul Daugherty, Lead Pastor

    Victory Christian Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Jason Law is one of the most passionate voices in our generation. It’s been my honor to work with him on many projects as he pioneers church and city unity. For years, the church has had the same goal of presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ, yet has been divided in it’s efforts. Jason’s heart is to reverse this cultural divide and unite God’s body as one family. He has written a must-read book, Unite My City, for any and everyone. Read this book and learn from one of the best.

    Michael Todd, Lead Pastor

    Transformation Church

Read this book! Unite My City is a powerful rediscovery for all of us of what it truly means to be the local Church — serving our cities, guiding our communities, and standing in humility as an example to our nation. When we look at our city and its people, we no longer have to say, Why does it have to be this way? United with Jesus, having His great love for humanity within us, we now get to say, It doesn’t have to stay this way! Together we create an atmosphere that lifts burdens and heals hearts. You will be encouraged and inspired. Your heart will be stirred.

    Pastor Kyle Turner

The Cause Church, Kansas City, Missouri

Jason has been a dear friend in ministry and a son in the faith to me. He hits the mark in this book, sharing how churches uniting together can fulfill the Great Commission in this hour. His insights and stories are motivating and challenging to the reader. I believe every pastor, leader, church member and business professional who reads this book will see and understand God’s plan and the how to in bringing believers together to transform their city and, yes, even a nation for God.

    Pastor Sharon Daugherty

    Founding Pastor

    Victory Christian Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Unite My City is a challenging yet engaging read, lending itself as an affront to current cultural trends of ministry. This book suggests and shouts the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus. What makes this read even more powerful is the life of the author serving the Church globally and locally, calling all to a place of Christ-centered unity. Jason’s insight reaches beyond the context of contemporary church paradigms, and knowing him personally

makes this book all the more impacting. He lives this daily…Unite My City is the substratum to which we must work to see God-level results worldwide.

    Dr. Calvin Battle, Pastor

    Destiny Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma

I am beyond thrilled that Jason has been able to summon the proven principles of his unity journey and present them to us in his dynamic book, Unite My City. I was privileged to be present during the inception of this noble undertaking in his life, as he grappled with the initial reality of what it meant to truly stand in the gap for his city. Jason’s passion to see the Church unified under Christ’s banner of love was consistently viable and contagious. It is my prayer that readers everywhere will be inspired by Unite My City , to embrace the call towards sacrificial unity for the sake of the global Church in America today.

Unite My City is a bold and radical call to arms. Jason Law has written both a biblical and practical manifesto to restore the two pillars of prayer and unity back to today’s fractured church (Acts 1:14). This book is a hope-filled vision of what transformation in your own community looks like.

    Roger Nix, Lead Pastor

    Believers Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma

For me, Unite My City is not just a book, it is a first-hand experience. What Jason Law is helping to facilitate in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is city-changing and kingdom work. Several lead pastors are gathering, praying, worshipping, and serving together in our city. It is changing the lay of the land in Tulsa. Unite My City is not only a must-read, it is a way we can be the answer to the prayer of Jesus for unity among His people. Let’s do this together.

    Dr. Alex Himaya

    Founding and Lead Pastor

    theChurchat, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Unite My City is an epic book about bringing people together and igniting within our culture a desire to see people embrace the differences that make us strong. Jason Law has captured the heart of God where people are concerned. This is more than a book; it is a movement to make a difference in our world today. A recommended read for the leader, pastor, or believer who will heed the voice of God and make an impact on a global level.

Jason Law perpetuates a family legacy of courage and authenticity in his book, Unite My City. Only someone who has loved and served the Church globally could speak authoritatively to this pressing issue. I pray church leaders and followers of Christ in every nation internalize the words of this book and strive to achieve true biblical unity.

It is my pleasure to write an endorsement for Jason Law’s first book, Unite My City. A life message for Jason, this book represents God’s dream for us — His highest ideal — for His Church to be one as Jesus and the Father are one. It is the ultimate apologetic of the Church to the world. Who would think that the Father would not answer the prayer of His Son? Jason’s desire to see the Church unified is totally in line with God’s heart and His priority in our day. For the Great Commission to be fulfilled, I believe it requires a united Church to complete that task.

    Ken Vance, Lead Pastor

    Vertical Church

    West Haven, Connecticut

I believe Unite My City represents a growing movement across our country, a realization that for far too long the Church has allowed the nonessentials of our faith to drive a wedge between us. More than ever before, our world must see the transforming power of Christ demonstrated through the unity of the Church, a Church primarily committed to building and expanding the Kingdom of God and not our own individual kingdoms. I believe this Church can reshape communities, transform cities, and help bring the realities of the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth.

    Matt Nelson, Lead Pastor

    City Church

    Tulsa, Oklahoma

Jason strikes a greatly needed but much elusive chord in his book, Unite My City. There’s no greater need than unity in the Body of Christ and the time is now. I know of no one who has more dogged determination to see it happen than Jason Law. His writing is not theory; he has been practicing all he preaches and envisions in Unite My City. If the church-at-large would embrace this teaching and apply it in practice, it really can happen.

    Dedication

I would like to dedicate this book to the pastors in the Tulsa area who are helping to lead this movement in our city. They continue to come together humbly and wholeheartedly to shape a new and exciting vision for our city. We are walking this road together, and I could not have written so boldly about Unite My City if I had not already experienced it in some capacity with them.

    The Charge

Many people hear religion and think divisiveness. It can be discouraging to see churches that fight against each other, churches that split over petty arguments. But we have hope: The Church can be more because the Church is more. The Church is held together not by its own efforts but by the person of Christ Jesus. Unity is not an ideal but a present reality we are called to live out.

At Seacoast Church, we end every service by reading Ephesians 3:20-21. In those verses, Paul reminds us that God can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. Jason’s book is more than an encouragement to do better; it is a call to chase the immeasurably more that God has for our churches.

Let’s decide to reflect the unity of Christ. Let’s show the world a unity that transcends nation, race, age, and language. Just as Jesus holds all things together, let’s commit to work together, to serve together, and to support one another. The unity of the Church isn’t an ideal — it is a reality. Let’s rediscover that reality together!

    Pastor Greg Surratt

    Founding Pastor, Seacoast Church

    President and Co-founder

    Association of Related Churches (ARC)

The world has become very hostile and competitive, and unfortunately, it has found its way into the Church. God is sending us out to reach a lost humanity in a broken world, and we must be unified in our approach. No single church by itself can handle that mission. Let’s keep things simple: Even Jesus sent His disciples in pairs together for ministry, which signifies the need for unity throughout the Church.

Believe me when I tell you, I’m very competitive by nature, so this is a real hurdle for me. I have a vision for ministry and a church full of amazing people, but the great commission is not just my mission or your mission; the world needs all churches to come together successfully in one mission. Creation has seen too much dysfunction. Now, it anxiously waits for the sons of God to be revealed in their proper role.

How do we bring the Church together? We’re on the same team, serving the same God, under the same command. When we honor those who are laboring in the Gospel with us, it brings a sharpened focus and ease to the Church. It is God’s way of doing things in the kingdom.

I know this book will impact your life and make a positive difference in the Church. We can reach the world when we work together.

    Preface

"I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father,
