    If death is the end of a human life, can love resurrect it ?

    Funeral

    It was dark. Mathias only saw the dark. His tears had become a stream that flowed down his cheeks like a torrent. He couldn’t believe she was dead. Her eyes, her face, her lips were still whirled in his memory. She was alive and now she was dead. He fell to his knees and felt the darkness invade his heart. The rain continued to pour down his cheeks and everything became dark. The wind began to blow, and his love flew into a distant darkness. That was the end. The ground collapsed under the weight of his grief and he felt that he was falling into the nothingness of hell.

    It was raining heavily on this summer day when Mathias attended today the funeral of a young girl he barely knew. The day was grayish; no ray of sunshine was present, which reflected the heart of Mathias, a boy who was six feet tall with long black hair.

    Everyone wore a black and white suit and an umbrella, except Mathias, who had no umbrella and wore his usual jeans, holed, with a T-shirt of the wrestler Undertaker. The rain, mixed with her tears, flowed gently and peacefully over her body. Claire’s family and friends had all gathered at the Modern Cemetery for the departure of the loved one they had been around for nineteen years. With his eyes on the coffin, Mathias wept with a warm tear. He had tried in vain to save her, but now she was dead…she was dead… in his arms…
