BOOK I: A SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO RASTAFARIAN THINKING

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF TIME?

Most people don’t know it, but the holy bible is very accurate when it comes to scientific terms. Therefore, when scientific hypotheses and principles are compared with, and based upon the biblical knowledge that the bible reveals, the two (the bible and science) becomes compatible, not opposed to each other.

In this segment, I will prove to you, the Reader, the superiority of the bible in comparison with what we understand today about science, and show how science and the bible can be complementary.

It is abundantly clear from what’s revealed in the bible, that Jah created Angels before he created physical matter. Angels are superhuman beings, in terms of their capabilities and thinking. Also, some of them co-exist with human beings on Earth, just as Jah does. It is important to realize that Jah and Angels also exist in other dimensions, and other universes. For this reason, physical matter, as evidenced by the beginning of the universe, had a definite beginning. That is when time began.

Therefore, the scientific theory that matter cannot be created nor destroyed simply isn’t correct. A better explanation of this theory would be: Once created, matter cannot be destroyed, but continues to exist and grow infinitely, in various forms. As you read this book, this new scientific explanation will become clearer.

This new scientific explanation has a footnote because in reality Jah has the power to completely destroy matter (obliterate it out of existence), and would do so in an extreme case, if circumstances warranted such an action. However, this is only a footnote, because for the most part, Jah works with the scientific principles that he’s created, and, that we are continuing to discover.

Jah originally began the creation of physical matter (the big bang) and, that physical matter continues to grow to this day. This matter started out as the universe. However, today it is more correct to refer to it/them as the universes because of their growth since the original creation. Also, there is consensus among scientists that the universes are still growing. That’s why I stated that once created, matter cannot be destroyed, but continues to exist and grow infinitely, thru various ways.

Another major point to remember is that matter can change its form or composition. For example, matter can change from solid to liquid, and, for the most part, cannot be destroyed, as I’ve already stated. A better explanation of being destroyed is to say, cease to exist. However, also as already mentioned, Jah can cause physical matter to cease completely if he wanted to.

And now, here are some scientific facts which are corroborated by the bible: Many eons passed from the time Jah completed the initial creation of Angels, to when he began creating matter in the form of the universe. Matter is simply any visible object that contains mass. Also, Angels are not created from matter like human beings, even though most of them can manifest themselves visibly; this means that spirit beings (like Angels), have intelligence that supersedes physical matter.

ANGELS AND THE CREATION OF PHYSICAL MATTER

The essence composition out of which Angels are created is spirit. That’s why Angels can live forever: Spirit exists forever. Notice what Jah says about how he created matter: The scripture is Psalms 104:30 {KJV}. It says, in reference to Jah: Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and though renewest the face of the earth. In other words, the Utterances or Thoughts of Jah have the power to do anything he wants. In this scripture, it is plainly stated that Jah created visible matter out of invisible spirit. This is very important because it was later repeated in the New Testament, in several places. For instance, the following are Jah’s own words regarding the power of spirit over matter. The scripture is John 6:63 {NIV}; Jah says:

The spirit gives life; the flesh counts nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. In this scripture, the word translated flesh refers to physical matter. And now that we have established that spirit existed before  material, physical matter, let us turn our attention to the beginning of Time:

Time isn’t, as some scientists still suppose, without a beginning. The bible reveals that Time began at the big bang – the very instant Jah created the physical universe. This probably occurred, as many scientists believe, between 13 and 14 billion years ago. Therefore, Time began about 13 to 14 billion years ago.

Also, please take note that whatever Jah said – whatever he uttered – just mere words, or spirit – manifested themselves in physical form just as he wished. That is how the universe began – something that some scientists are still unable to explain. Now, let us review what Genesis 1:14 {KJV} says:  And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.

Even though Genesis chapter 1 verse 14 is talking about the renewal or re- creation of the Earth during a 7-day Re-creation Week, the original creation of the Earth and the universe occurred during the big bang, roughly some 13 to 14 billion years ago (as we have established); when all the Angels shouted for joy after seeing how beautiful the Earth was {Job 38:4-7}, when it was created.

Jah did not originally create the Earth as the desolate place that’s described in Genesis 1:14. The desolation of the Earth occurred eons later after the original creation of the universe, following a very prolonged and protracted Galactic warfare between the more numerous Jah’s Angels and, Lucifer’s fallen Angels.

JAH HAS NO AGE; NEITHER BEGINNING NOR END

At this point, I would like to mention something about Jah’s existence that will help us to understand better the concept of Time. For instance, it is meaningless to say that Jah has this age or that age because Jah has always existed. There isn’t a period that Jah did not exist. In other words, Jah doesn’t have an age. Here is what the bible reveals about this phenomenon; the scripture is taken from Hebrews 13:8 {NIV}. It says: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

This isn’t an easy concept to understand or illustrate, but think of it this way: We are all familiar with the Number Line. At the center, there is the number zero. On the positive side, the Number Line continues to increase infinitely. Also, on the negative side, the numbers equally increase – some view it as decreasing – infinitely.

In Mathematics, the negative side of the Number Line may correctly be seen as decreasing in value when the numbers move away further and further away from  zero. However, when we are talking about Time, it is more correct and scientific to say that it increases, even on the negative side.

We are accustomed to thinking about Time as a single dimension going forward in the positive territory of a Number Line. However, Jah also exists and lives infinitely in the Past. Therefore, his age increases forward on the positive side of the Number Line, and also backward on the negative side of the Number Line. What this means is that Jah can go back infinitely in Time at will, and do whatever he wishes to do there or at that particular point. Theoretically, this means that Jah can travel in the past and create things there that did not exist before. Some day in future, we will have the ability to travel to the past and see the things that he’s been doing in the Past.

Equally, Jah can also travel forward infinitely into the Future and do the same things there that he can do in the Past. The bible tells us plainly that one day we will have the ability to live in infinity (gain salvation, or immortality or eternal life). More about this will be discussed later. Suffice it to say that Jah is infinite; that is, he lives forever in the Past and forever in the Future. This is the fact about Jah.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ANGELS?

The subject of Angels is quite interesting, and, has always fascinated human beings because we always want to know: Are there other intelligent life-forms in other far-away Planets or Galaxies or Universes that we don’t know of?

This is the subject that I will be exploring in this segment. The bible states quite clearly, as mentioned already, that Jah created angelic beings before he created physical matter (the universe). The following is what Jah says about this event, as recorded in the book of Job, which I believe was the first written book of the bible, as far as time is concerned. The scripture is Job 38:4-7 {KJV}. Jah asks:

"Where was thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" Emphasis provided in italics.

The scripture that you have just read are Jah’s own words, when he was speaking to Job. Now, I would like us to read the same words again, as translated in the New International Version of the bible {NIV}:

Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone – while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?

Jah here tells us that when the Earth was being created – or, when he began creating the universes – the angelic beings were already in existence. Also, all the Angels existing at that time, every single one of them, shouted for joy when they saw how beautiful Jah had created the Earth. At that time, there was complete order and agreement between Jah and all the angels. Nobody knows, or can figure out, the exact time or period when Jah created Angels. Time did not yet exist back then because the universe had not yet been created. Once again, I would like to emphasize that the creation of the universe marked the beginning of Time {Genesis 1:14}.

ANGELS AND HUMAN BEINGS HAVE A BEGINNING

As I have already mentioned, Jah lives infinitely in the Past and also in the Future. However, Angels, and for that matter human beings, can only live infinitely in the Future but not the Past, because Angels and human beings have a beginning or starting point (zero, on the Number Line). However, Jah has neither a Beginning nor an End (therefore, no zero on the Number Line). That is one of the mysteries of Jah.

After the creation of Angels and the universe, there was utopia everywhere in the universe because Jah, the Angels and the universe, were all in harmony with each other. In other words, everything was working fine, just as Jah intended.

Then one day, one of the Archangels – I believe there are very many of them even though only three or four are generally acknowledged – who is known as Lucifer – started to rebel and oppose everything that Jah stands for.

Lucifer used his great knowledge, skills and power to deceive millions of Angels, such that after some time had passed, a Galactic warfare broke out in the universes, between Lucifer’s forces and Jah’s forces. Consequently, the universes were thrown off their course, and the once life-supporting universes became void, in darkness and lifeless. Please read the book of Jude in the New Testament, verse 6 {NIV}: And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home – these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

I would like to mention here that there are very many types of angelic beings, just as there are different types of races among human beings and, different species of animals. Some of the angelic beings include Cherubim, Seraphim and many others.

Some Angels look like human beings and have been given permission by Jah to live among human beings on Earth (terrestrial), while others live in other dimensions of the universes (celestial) that we haven’t yet discovered; this is why some angelic beings are considered terrestrial while others are celestial:  Such angelic beings live  in other Planets or Galaxies or, Dimensions, or other Universes. In addition, some angelic beings live in the Deep Seas where human beings cannot navigate.

The most important point to note here is that we are not the only intelligent life-forms in these endless universes and dimensions.

The main difference between Angels and human beings is that Angels already possess eternal life while human beings do not. In other words, Angels cannot die as human beings do. Also, Angels have superhuman powers which enable them to do the things that Jah directs them to do. Likewise, Lucifer’s Angels – commonly known as demons or devils – are Angels who fell from Jah’s grace because they did not want to fall under Jah’s jurisdiction and reign.

At this time, you are probably wondering what their fate is. I know that many of us have been taught that they are condemned to eternal damnation and suffering; however, I would like to offer some new and fresh insight regarding their fate.

But before I do so, I would like to remind you that everything Jah does is an act of love. Also, Jah can never start something and fail to finish it. When Jah created Angels, he had an excellent design for them, as we’ll find out more fully in the future.

Therefore, even though billions of Angels rebelled against Jah’s Kingdom, he has a very long-term Plan, lasting eternity, to teach and redeem everything and everybody that he has created. Notice what Jah inspired the apostle Paul to record in the book of I Corinthians 6:3 {KJV} first part: Know ye not that we shall judge angels?

This scripture clearly shows that when human beings are finally saved by attaining eternal life, they will become like Jah in thinking and action and, thus be able to judge or teach or guide Angels.

Jah’s vision is to turn the entire universes to look better than the Earth by creating utopia. This vision will stretch for all eternity and will involve a lot of very advanced science and technology. Finally, regarding this, I would like to mention that the main reason why Jah created angelic beings is so that they could serve as his Ministers. This is something that’s revealed in Hebrews 1:14 {NIV}: Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

And now, let us move on to something else: In this segment, I would like to talk about another very interesting topic from a Rastafarian viewpoint: It is the subject of Prehistory:

WHAT IS PREHISTORY?

Prehistory is the unrecorded history of the world and all the entire universes, before the Year 4,130 B.C. (Before Christ). This is the time, according to my biblical calculations, when Jah began the renewal process of re-creating this world (Earth).

Let us notice what Jah inspired the prophet Moses to record about the original creation of the universe and, the latter recreation, or renewal of the Earth.

I would like to read from several translations so that we can comprehend this momentous event more fully. The first scripture is found in Genesis 1:1-2.
