What you will find between the pages: Humor (twisted, dirty, ridiculous), sexy sensual romance, and probably (although I try to tone it down) profanity.Ravenna Young will always be supernatural, romance, suspense: ghosts, fairies, etc.Remi Wild is my romantic side and all books will be romance: new adult, contemporary, erotica, etc.I love to laugh, and I incorporate as much humor as possible into my work. My days are spent saving those who can't speak for themselves. My nights are spent with my family of two and four-legged loves.I read less than I'd like to, eat more chocolate than I should, and more likely than not you will find me chilling with a glass of red; on a good day, I'll drink straight from the bottle...Writing takes me to a place where I can control and transform the world into whatever I want. Laughter is my therapy, so I try to slip it in wherever I can. I hope you enjoy my work.

Cassie shivered and rubbed her hands together for warmth as she scanned her surroundings. The full moon and clear night sky illuminated the forest by reflecting off the snow, making it the brightest a forest could get by starlight and brighter than any summer night. Evergreens and naked elm trees jutted out from an endless blanket of thick, soft, knee-deep snow that frosted her ass as she crouched behind a cedar bush.

He stalked through the snow in relentless pursuit of his prey. She could sense his evil as though it floated on the breeze, but she didn’t move, nothing did, and the quiet eeriness announced his approach.

Suddenly, the silence exploded with the crunch of snow underfoot. Shrugging deeper into herself, she pulled her collar up over her mouth in an attempt to muzzle the plume of breath that threatened to reveal her location.

The crunching grew louder as he stalked closer—he knew exactly where she hid. She knew he knew, but this was her dream, her power, her game, and she’d be damned if he won. Not on her turf. It could be no other way; there was simply too much to lose.

She glanced over her shoulder in search of an escape from his impending attack. Like a shot, she sprang up and away, racing through the deep snow and then leaping up into a nearby fir. Branches clawed her hands and face as she climbed higher, but she pushed on until she was out of reach.

    Wolves can’t climb trees.

    Thank God!

Staring down at the ground, she watched him circle the tree in frustration and then stop and lie down. He looked up, focused, prepared to wait. His glowing blue eyes connected to hers, and he growled.

    "Vicious bastard," she hissed.

He growled again but it held a playful tone much like when Hannibal Lecter cooed Clarice’s name. This sadistic, freeze the blood of your enemies, game didn’t scare Cassie. Sure, his next move in the waking world could be disastrous, but it was her turn to play. With her eyes still locked on his, she focused, demanding her precognition provide some insight into his sinister plan, and just like that, the forest faded away…

From inside the office, Cassie gazed through the front windows. Outside, snow covered the ground, but the sun beamed through the glass and warmed the room. She stepped closer and turned her face to the sun to bathe in its radiance.

Randy approached from behind and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her neck. Wanna grab something to eat? I’m famished, he said, and she nodded against him.

He released her and moved to hold the front door open for her to exit first. She stepped across the threshold, but the blinding sun burned her eyes and forced her to squint. As she tilted her face away, someone moved in front of her. A gunshot boomed in her ears, and she fell to the ground. The impact of her body hitting the pavement caused her to rock. Her chest felt full, like an immoveable boulder pressed against it.

Randy knelt beside her, tore his jacket off and then his shirt. He leaned into her, pushing her back against the ground as he whispered. His words. She couldn’t quite make them out, but the terror in his eyes told her everything she needed to know.

She’d been shot. Her gaze caught the image of Bolton standing behind Randy. He smirked, satisfied with his completed mission, raised his handgun to his forehead, and saluted before spinning on his heals and walking away. Cassie struggled to speak—to tell Randy who did this—but the words were trapped. Trying to breathe became impossible. She tried to swallow but choked and the glorious light that warmed her cheeks just minutes before started to dim...

Cassie Woods opened her eyes to heaviness. It weighed her body down with a sense of deep and profound loss. Confused, her eyes roved through the darkness and caught the illumination of dashboard lights that seemed brighter than normal.

    She wasn’t dead.

She was still in the Jeep.

Silently thanking God, she glanced at Randy in the driver's seat. He met her gaze with a look that clearly questioned her well-being. She nodded to ease his worries, so he turned his attention back to the road.

Stunned by the short and poignant dream that clearly depicted her forthcoming murder, she stared numbly through the window as they drove through the streets of Regina. If she continued with the current trajectory, Bolton Thomas would be dead long before he had a chance to kill her. At least, that was the goal. It was just a matter of time which was apparently about to run out.

Her ability to see the future through her dreams sucked on any given day, and each day she struggled to except this most unwelcome gift. But seeing her own death, feeling the gunshot, being in that moment, was likely the worst thing she’d ever seen, and she’d seen and done some awful things.

A shiver rushed up her arms to the base of her neck, and she cringed to eradicate the frosty feels. Knowing she’d be murdered was the icing on the cake of a night that had already been horrendous. How would she tell Randy about her dream? Down deep, she knew she couldn’t because she didn’t have the heart to drop one more bomb on his lap. Her presence in his life had amounted to more than enough for any one person to have to accept, and she was pretty sure there was a limit.

The fires had been extinguished and what was left of their homes were now just cinder and ashes. They were officially homeless, but at least no one was hurt, or worse.

This entire shitstorm was all her fault, but she would fix it. They would rebuild, stronger than ever, at least, she hoped she’d get the chance. Dying at the hands of Bolton was not an option she wanted to entertain.

Through her haze of deep thought, she caught sight of the office as Randy pulled into the parking lot. Sudden unease gripped her as she recalled her body hitting the pavement, but she couldn’t let on. Pushing the image aside, she tipped her head his way in question.

We need gear, so we can work, and I need to have a look at something, Randy said.

They entered the garage at the back of the building, parked behind the surveillance van, and closed the overhead door. Randy rarely parked in the garage, but it wasn’t often that a raving lunatic tried to kill him, so she understood, especially knowing that the raving lunatic would take another shot at her again soon. It wouldn’t be tonight, though. Her death would take place in broad daylight while exiting the front of the building.

Just gotta stay away from that front door, she thought.

Keep it dark, Randy called over his shoulder as they entered the building and made their way down the hall to his office. The streetlights beaming through the front windows provided just enough light, but inside Randy’s office the only light came from the glow of the phone and desktop monitors.

Cassie stood in the doorway to his office with her back to him and focused on the backwards sign decaled across the glass door of the main entrance: Tyler Investigations. At some point, she’d walk out that door and meet her end. A light huff of air escaped her lips, but she swallowed back the many emotions trying to take control. Until recently, she’d grown to love her job as a private investigator, but too many shitty things kept happening. Lives were endangered, houses incinerated, she murdered a man, and all because of the job she used to find exhilarating.

Excitement for her career had been replaced with an unwelcome feeling of doom heavily dosed with regret. But both feelings vanished beneath the weight of fatigue that somehow managed to outshine the fact that she just dreamt her own death.

    She should be terrified.

    Shouldn’t she?

A powerful, energy-sucking yawn escaped. It was late, she didn’t even know what time, but if her head didn’t hit a pillow soon, she’d be dead on her feet.

"Hey, get in here and shut the door. I don’t want anyone knowing we’re
