After hearing the devastating news about her lover David's terrible accident, Sharon ran to his side and didn't leave for days. Sharon was beside herself with grief. The timing couldn't have been any worse: she was moving to her new home in a few weeks' time, now without David.

Livio, one of Sharon's submissive lovers and now husband, thought he had the upper hand with David out of the way, only to be asked to arrange accommodations for him during his recovery. Sharon insisted that David move into the guest house on their newly purchased property so she could be close to him. Livio thought by stepping up and being there for Sharon during this upsetting time his goddess would only confirm how loving and understanding he was towards her needs.

Livio desperately needed to take his goddess's mind off her pressures from David's accident and selfishly craved alone time with her. Livio suggested taking a long weekend getaway to Las Vegas, and Sharon jumped at the offer, since she was on the verge of having a breakdown worrying about David's condition. She desperately needed some time to collect her thoughts on how to move forward.

Sharon tried to justify her selfish needs by going on this trip, telling herself David was stable and in good hands with his doctors and there was not much more she could do for him while he lies in a hospital bed in a coma not showing any signs of waking.

Livio couldn't have imagined the twist of events he was going to encounter in Vegas. Not only did his burning desire to have Sharon all to himself blow up in his face, but she had discreetly suggested to a newly found acquaintance to join her in Vegas. What a better place than in a city that never sleeps and is well known for lovers.

Calabria is bordered by two seas; the crystal-blue Loanian and Tyrrhenian Seas. It's a sunbaked region of rugged mountains, old-fashioned villages and dramatic coastline with many popular beaches, so my father told me. The population is about 1,970 million. The capital is Catanzaro.On my mother's side, the family is from Naples (Caserta) which sits on the Bay of Naples. My grandmother told me Naples is breathtaking. Nearby is Mount Vesuvius, the still-active volcano that destroyed the nearby Roman town Pompeii. My grandmother also talked about Castel Nuovo, a thirteenth-century castle. She mentioned they started building it back in 1279. It took three years to complete. Population of Caserta is about 907,000 million.Nothing has made me happier then to complete this novel so I can share it with all of you. Prologue

Sharon is a mother of two adorable boys and a loving wife for the second time to one of her submissive lovers that she would do anything for but would never tell him that, she doesn’t want him to see her soft vulnerable side. She is a stunning beauty, a bright light that shines when she walks into a room, it wasn’t hard for her to find and attract the opposite or same sex.

Livio, one of her submissive lovers and now husband would do anything to keep his Goddess happy even if he had to share her with others. Sharon decided to include Livio in her lifestyle which made him happy to be a part of knowing she would be in his bed the majority of the time he didn’t seem to care, for now that is.

With Sharon’s career and making sure David, one of her submissive lovers was comfortable after his devastating accident she didn’t have time to search for a replacement lover but then she didn’t have to, they seemed to find her begging and falling over themselves for her consideration and would do anything for a personal interview.

Finding it extremely hard to choose just one, Sharon decided to keep them all for her pleasure and enjoyment, which they didn’t seem to mind because she gave them what they wanted which was to belong and be owned by her.

Her best friend Sofia, now her sister-in-law, had a beautiful baby girl and named her Isabella. Sharon couldn’t get enough of her niece she loved her to pieces and made a promise she was going to teach her how to be a loving, kind but a strict dominate like herself, Sharon had Sofia’s approval knowing Sharon would always be close hoping to win her affection back. Sofia still had a burning love for Sharon her desire was stronger for her than for her soon to be husband. Sofia prayed for a sign to help her make the right decision before it was too late, she didn’t want to be trapped in a loveless marriage or out of duty to their child.

Sharon’s boys were her first and utmost priority in her life; she made sure her lovers knew everything else would be secondary. That didn’t mean she would do without when it came to her needs, far from it as she made sure her rules were outlined to her lovers and totally understood and she made certain were followed without question.

Sharon’s desires would be their priority just the thought of dismissal from her life was unbearable to them all.

Sharon had carefully chosen a prominent renowned doctor and part time amateur artist, an entrepreneur tycoon falling over himself every time he saw her and a love sick chauffeur, they all begged for her attention and affection.

Livio had his hands full with Sharon’s sexual appetite and desires; he was starting to feel the pressure but tried hard not to show it. He then came up with a suggestion that satisfied both their appetites.

Sharon knew exactly what buttons to push with Livio not only with him, but with all her lovers and they all wouldn’t have it any other way. To spend time with Sharon was a fantasy that they could only dream and wish to be a part of.

Sharon has too many fantasies to be just a housewife. She lives in a more interesting world than the one around her. You will soon learn how true that was. Her lovers would rather die than not be a part of her world.

CHAPTER 1

Livio helped Sharon into the shower washing her from head to toe after dropping her wine glass and splashing herself, she was drenched in red wine. Throwing all her clothes into the laundry knowing the wine stains will never come out didn’t seem to bother her, all she could think of is rushing to the hospital to be by David’s side.

Livio trying to calm her down told Sharon not to jump to any conclusions until she sees David and talks to his doctors about his condition which they didn’t have a clue of at this point.

Sharon’s mother Linda was watching the boys overnight relieved she didn’t have to worry about them. Livio drove Sharon to the hospital holding her hand the whole time knowing it’s better not to say a word, he didn’t want to cause anymore anxiety then she was already experiencing. Livio never wished ill on anyone but hoping this accident was an answer to his prayers, he didn’t want to share Sharon with anyone.

Just married, Livio and Sharon should be celebrating their first night as husband and wife by making love all night, instead he’s driving her to be beside her lover not knowing what condition David is in was agony for Livio.

Arriving at California Valley Care Medical Center Sharon jumped out of the car in front of the emergency doors and Livio went to park only to come back not able to find Sharon. She wasn’t in the waiting room, Livio searched up and down the hallways for Sharon then stopped at the information desk to make inquiries. No one knew David’s whereabouts, nor where he was taken, he wasn’t registered yet and with no room assigned to him that told Livio that David was still in the intensive care unit.

All Livio could do was wait in the waiting room hoping Sharon would come for him soon, he was not being next of kin so the hospital staff would not tell him anything. What in God’s name did Sharon tell them to get in within minutes of him parking his car?

An hour had passed, Livio was beside himself with worry all he could think of was Sharon’s state of mind. He was pacing when he noticed someone who looked like Sharon coming out of a room at the end of the hallway, there were glass locked doors between them. She looked like she had on a surgical gown on and was taking off her facial mask. Making his way through the crowd of people waiting for their loved ones, Livio called out Sharon’s name but he was stopped by a security guard that came out of nowhere.

Sir, you cannot go beyond this point without being authorized personal or being escorted and you must have a sterilized surgical gown on.

My wife is visiting someone in the emergency unit, I noticed her and I was trying to reach out for her attention, Livio said with confusion in his voice and feeling helpless.

What is her name and your name sir? I will try to have someone give her a message that you’re here waiting, if you could please step back from the doors and have a seat.

Livio telling him he appreciated his efforts he wrote down a message on his parking confirmation tag. Within a half hour Livio received a message in person from the security guard.

Sir your wife said to go home and make sure the boys were taken care of she will call you and not to wait for her.

Livio looking at a complete loss and still feeling helpless, he couldn’t do or say anything to change the situation. As he walked to his car he thought of calling Sharon’s cell, but knew that her phone would be turned off, there were signs everywhere to close all devices in the hospital.

He reached home around midnight feeling exhausted, physically and mentally. Thanking Linda for watching the boys he walked her to the car. Livio had a quick shower with his cell phone beside him the whole-time hoping Sharon would call, but not even a message was left.

Tossing and turning for a few hours he tried to rest to no avail. Livio finally got up with the sun, he was feeling disorientated and confused not sure what direction to turn. He wanted to head back to the hospital but changed his mind, if he couldn’t reach her last night what made him think he could this morning. Instead he called Linda asking if she would come back to the house and get the boys ready for school then apologized for the short notice.

Linda not asking any questions saying she would come right away assuming Sharon went to work and would hear from her later. Livio was looking at his phone every minute which was not helping with his anxiety; he decided to go into the office to keep his mind occupied.

He called his agent Olivia inquiring if there were any last-minute details that he may have overlooked regarding the closure of their new home next weekend. The moving van and helpers were confirmed to arrive bright and early on Saturday all seemed to be in order which was a huge relief. Livio ended the call.

Knowing Linda was watching the boys during the move so Sharon wouldn’t have to worry about their safety was also a huge help.

Feeling helpless Livio knew he had to keep busy otherwise he would fall apart at the seams.

Arranging a meeting with his staff for a surprise appreciation luncheon he wanted to thank them for all the hard work and overtime his team had contributed, which only made them all appreciate Livio even more than they already do.

It was two o’clock in the afternoon when Livio felt his phone vibrate; grabbing it without thinking twice it was Sharon sending an e-mail.

Livio please have George pick me up in an hour at the hospital emergency door entrance, I would rather you are home in time for the boys when they arrive after school. We can talk when I get there.

Thanks for understanding. Love and miss you.

My Goddess I’m so happy to hear from you I have been extremely worried, hope you’re ok. Have you been eating? Don’t want your health affected. I will call George now he will be waiting for you. Hurry home I miss you terribly.

Your Boy Livio

Livio was getting ready to leave the office when his assistant Jack came rushing in with a couple of messages, one was from Chief Brody.

Sitting back down he called Chief Brody.

This is Mr. Grant returning Chief Brody’s call. He was connected right away.

Good day Mr. Grant how is your day going? Chief Brody sounded like he was in a great mood.

I’m good sir; I just got married to the love of my life yesterday. Livio said with pride in his voice.

Congratulations it’s about time. I’m calling to invite you and your bride to our yearly Chief’s Gala Ball hosted this year by Victim Services. It is a celebration that highlights a highly valued volunteer organization that is respected and essential not only to victims but also to our police department.

I would be honored and privileged to attend. Livio said knowing he would be showing Sharon off.

Great I will put you on the list and will be sending out the invitations shortly.

Chief Brody ended the call.

Livio shook his head knowing this would be an evening to remember with only prestigious and highly respected people attending, not to mention he must stay in the Chief’s good books especially if favors are needed.

Arriving home with time to spare Livio started to make a snack for the boys. With heavy thoughts of Sharon on his mind, he couldn’t wait for her to arrive, he could only hope Sharon wanted to share the details with him.

The boys arrived excited to tell Livio about their day. Michael and Tony had a day trip to Reptilia which is an indoor reptile zoo with 15,000 square feet of indoor exhibits featuring over 250 reptiles, amphibians and arachnids. They couldn’t stop talking about how they fed some of the animals and watched a live show about snakes.

Wait till your mother hears about your day boys, she’s going to want to go with you next time, I’m sure of it. Livio said with excitement.

The boys had no homework and asked to play a game on the computer, Livio agreed but only till their mother gets home.

Prepping for dinner Livio poured himself a glass of wine hoping it would relax him before hearing the outcome of David’s injuries. The boys jumped up when they heard the front door open and run towards her both talking at the same time about their day.

Livio greeted her at the door with open arms and a bear hug that would knock anyone out, Sharon held onto him like her life depended on it.

Taking a deep breath and asking for a hot bath before dinner Sharon didn’t even respond to the boys like she would normally, Livio knew this wasn’t going to be good news.

Sharon had looked like she had been crying and exhausted from not sleeping, if Livio wasn’t mistaken she looked even thinner.

My Goddess, the boys are excited to tell you about their day trip and with no homework I have allowed them to play a game while waiting for you.

Sharon reached up and kissed Livio and thanked him for being such a good stepfather. There is a lot to tell you my husband. Sharon said with exhaustion in her voice. Livio wanted to shout with joy after Sharon referred to him as her husband and not just her boy Livio.

My Goddess, dinner is in the oven and the vegetables are ready for the barbecue, may I suggest getting your bath ready and the boys can play their games a bit longer to keep occupied.

Sharon hugged the boys and told them to play a bit longer while she had her bath then wanted to hear all about their day trip. Tony made her promise he could tell her about his day first. She agreed only if he helped with the dishes after dinner, that way Michael could tell her his day adventures. Sharon didn’t like them talking at the same time and over each other so a happy medium had to be in place.

Livio arranged Sharon’s bath with a warm towel on the side of the tub to wrap her in and a well-deserved glass of wine waiting. Livio rushed over to her and began undressing his Goddess with shaking hands.

Noticing Livio’s uneasiness Sharon asked why.

My Goddess I’m feeling sorrow for you. You must have had an upsetting and stressful evening at the hospital last night. Is there anything I can do for you?

I’m hungry; feeling dirty and very tired, let’s talk after about everything, right now I need your attention to just take care of my needs. Sharon said as her voice was fading from fatigue. Not another word was exchanged between them about David until after the boys went to bed, she didn’t want the boys to be involved in this situation.

Sharon was enjoying the adventure stories the boys told her about their day trip to Reptilia, she promised them next time the school planned a trip she will put her name down as a chaperon or guardian for the children.

Finally, Sharon and Livio had some quiet time. Offering his Goddess a foot massage on her loveseat in the bedroom which she accepted with eagerness. Livio ran upstairs to place her foot creams and oils on the night table and a few hot towels hoping this relaxing massage will calm her down enough to talk.

He handed Sharon a glass of wine as she stretched out taking a deep breath as if she was relieved to be finally home, I don’t know where to begin. Sharon said sounding exasperated and frustrated.

Taking a few sips of her wine and having the best foot massage in town seemed to relax Sharon enough to start talking.

David is in very bad condition he has broken ribs, pelvis, and a broken right foot that might need amputating, not to mention third degree burns all over his body that will need grafting and with many other complications that will need therapy for a very long time.

The doctors took me aside privately saying he might have a spinal cord injury that causes temporary or permanent changes in his functions. Symptoms include loss of muscle tone, loss of feeling and possibly autonomic function in the parts of the body served by his spinal cord.

Meaning some nerve signals can travel past the injured area depending on the location and severity of damage, the symptoms vary, from numbness to paralysis to incontinence. Long term outcomes also range widely, from full recovery to permanent quadriplegia. Complications can include muscle atrophy, pressure sores, infections and breathing problems.

Sharon begin to cry as she held her heart that was aching for him. Livio being sympathetic held her tight as she told him never to let her go. The doctors told her it was a miracle that he survived the accident. Sharon wanted to believe and hope David would be able to live a constructive life but deep down inside she felt it might have been better if he died in the accident.

Sharon was on his life insurance, all bank accounts and on his living Will as his common law wife; she now was responsible for his daily care and wellbeing.

She was feeling totally responsible for David. The doctor mentioned it will take a year or more for him to even be moved, then he must have 24/7 supervision with constant attention.

My Goddess, if I may speak.

I know how much you care for David this accident didn’t change the man he is, saying that I’m sure you won’t rest until he is completely taken care of. Tomorrow go to the bank and see what income and investments he may have because once he comes out of the hospital, whether it’s a month from now or a year, he will need medical and physical attention. You need to see if he has any insurance coverage. My suggestions are we make sure the guest house has all the modifications and custom home designs for his needs, is handicap accessible as in a wheelchair ramp, sidebars and removing steps. We must make sure all areas are wide and open, with fewer walls to obstruct movement and wider doorways to allow his wheelchair easy passage.

Sharon was staring at Livio with wide eyes she couldn’t believe what was coming out of his mouth. After everything David put him through, jeopardizing his situation with her, questioning his devotion, and most importantly his loyalty, she was flabbergasted he would be suggesting any advice, especially positive. Sharon leaped off the loveseat into Livio’s arms.

"I love you with all my heart my Goddess. My love for you is like the wind, you can’t see it but I can feel it rushing through my whole body. I knew one day I would kiss someone that I can’t breathe without."

Livio made love to his Goddess all night he didn’t care that his eyes were burning from lack of sleep from the night before. He won’t be able to concentrate on his work from being tired again, he needed to show Sharon he was here for her.

The next morning Sharon was up bright and early making breakfast for everyone. She created a to do list, the bank because she had signing authority it was best she went there first then inquire about his health insurance. Next was calling all the contractors that David had in place regarding renovations to the guest house and giving them direction on all the changes. Sharon had given Livio the responsibility of taking control of David’s companies making sure trusted foreman and supervisors were in place. Knowing how business savvy Livio was, Sharon knew it would all be taken care of in a timely fashion.

Livio had arranged for housekeeping to come tomorrow and start packing for the move. They were instructed to keep a few of Sharon’s clothing out so she could freshen up and change between hospital visits.

Livio went right to work on placing an ad for a Senior Architect which read:

Senior Architect required with 15+ years experience:

Qualified to design buildings, make sure they are structurally sound. Quality performance also serves as a manager, mentor, advisor and coordinator. Must be able to guide your team, work with clients and be a company leader to ensure the overall success of each project. Must have experience in working in the construction industry designing new buildings, restoring, conserving old buildings and developing new ways of using existing buildings. You must be involved in construction projects from the earliest stages right through to completion. Your work includes preparing and presenting design proposals to clients, advising clients, producing detailed drawings, negotiating with contractors and other professionals, attending regular meetings with clients and contractors.

He had his assistant Jack post the job with a recruiter in a placement agency, then coordinate all appointments of qualified architects with 15+ years of knowledge only and not to waste his time otherwise.

Most important was a criminal background check is to be presented and preferably be a family person with high morals and is strongly dedicated to their family. Jack was a bit confused with Livio’s last request but did as instructed without question.

Jack left the office as Livio was receiving a phone call.

Mr. Grant, it’s Olivia, just touching base. I have confirmed with the moving company and all helping hands that the truck will be there bright and early. Once they are finished loading and off loading to and from the house, they will be picking up your condo furniture from the storage unit and moving it into your new house. They will be coming back the next day to unpack all boxes and place all furniture in the appropriate location with your direction.

Thank you Olivia, you have done more than I could have asked for, I will be in-touch.

Livio ended the call.

Sharon arrived at the bank with all of David’s documents and requested to see the manager.

Mrs. Jones, how nice to see you again what brings you by? Mr. Robert Williams held his hand out to greet her.

Good to see you again as well Mr. Williams, by the way I’m Mrs. Livio Grant now. Sharon lifted her hand up to show him her ring.

Congratulations Mrs. Grant, I’m going to have to get used to your new name, as they walked into his office and sat down.

I have a very dear friend that has been in an accident and he has given me power of attorney, I will be handling all his private affairs, business, and some of his legal matters, Sharon then handed Robert all the documents.

Mr. Williams began to read all the documents to make sure everything was in order, out of nowhere he took a deep breath as if he was holding his breath the whole time he was reading. Mr. David DeAngelo? Robert yelled out loud with shock in his voice.

Sharon shifted in her chair; she was surprised he knew David.

Mr. Williams looked up at Sharon with concern. May I ask what happened to Mr. DeAngelo?

Sharon then detailed the situation for the next half hour.

"Mr. DeAngelo has been a very long-standing client of ours for the last thirty years, I’m so sorry to hear this disturbing news of his accident and condition.

All the paperwork is in order Mrs. Grant and I would be happy to assist you in anyway you would like me to. Please ask for me personally in the future."

Livio being a detailed lawyer, Sharon had him look the documents over to make sure everything was in order before going to the bank, she didn’t want any complications or interruptions with transactions whatsoever.

I would like to start off by seeing all his accounts and investments, I also was told by David he has a safety deposit box; I would like to see what’s in there as well.

For the next hour Mr. Williams personally assisted Sharon with all of her inquires and answered all her concerns making sure she had signing authority set up.

Mr. Williams wished Sharon, a good day and repeated that he’s just a phone call away.

Sharon was in shock, she couldn’t believe how wealthy David was with all his real estate properties, investments, cash in the bank and gold bullion in his safety deposit box. It must total over a billion dollars and she had three more bank institutions to visit. David looks and acts so humble; you would never know it by looking at him.

CHAPTER 2

Sharon arrived home in time to get the boys a snack with some extra time she called Sofia.

Are you alive? Sharon said when Sofia answered the phone.

Barely, I have been throwing up all night you didn’t tell me how much fun it is being pregnant, you left that part out. What kind of friend are you anyway? Sofia said with humor in her voice.

I haven’t heard from you the last couple days, your weekend with your new husband must have been a wild one. Sofia joking with Sharon.

Sharon wanted to tell Sofia everything but being she was only a few months pregnant she didn’t want to upset her, but she must be told and it was better coming from her than her hearing it from someone else.

My new husband and I are doing just fine, thanks for asking. What are you doing for dinner? Why don’t you and Ricardo come over, bring Penny I have some steaks out that Livio can barbecue.

Perfect we’re on our way, I’m starving don’t forget I’m eating for two now even if it doesn’t stay down too long. Sofia said with laughter in her voice.

Sharon no sooner hung up from Sofia when the boys came running in showing their mom some arts and crafts, they did in school today; it was great work. Michael created a popsicle stick art craft and Tony created a mythical creature. Sharon said she was going to frame them and put them in their new bedrooms when they move. Feeling so proud Michael asked if he could pick out the frame for his and of course Tony jumped right in saying he wanted a blue frame.

Livio arriving home full of excitement rushed over to kiss Sharon and admired the boys arts and crafts work, telling them he couldn’t have done better.

Sharon was marinating the steaks as Livio noticed there were lots, bending over kissing Sharon’s neck he whispered, My wife, are we having my sister and her better half for dinner?

We are, so go wash up I need your help. Sharon said.

Livio ran upstairs to change and wash up with Sharon’s day on his mind, wondering if she was able to arrange a meeting with the bank manager. He also had a lot to tell her but it will all have to wait until tonight.

He was looking forward to spending time with his sister and Ricardo, Livio hasn’t seen them since their wedding day.

Sofia arriving with Penny in hand and Ricardo had an extra surprise for Livio a Cohiba Esplendidos cigar from his country, telling him these leaves undergo an additional fermentation in barrels therefore produces a special aroma and flavor. Livio in detail told her about his productive day by engaging a placement agency and including an ad for David’s job and last-minute details about the move couldn’t have made her feel more at peace.

After telling Livio all about her day going to financial institutions and looking in David’s safety deposit box, which blew Livio’s mind, he never would have thought David was such a good investor, then promised to invest David’s money just as wisely. Sharon making it clear her decisions when it came to David’s wellbeing would be followed and not questioned.

Sharon couldn’t believe the new styles and designs the fashion industry had created to make a pregnant woman look elegant and yet still making Sofia feel beautiful. The boutique owner Milaina couldn’t keep up with all of Sofia’s requests for dresses and business pantsuits with matching purses and coordinated scarfs.

Purchasing outfits to wear something different for the next five months was exhausting but rewarding after seeing how happy it made Sofia.

Sofia asked to visit David next time Sharon went but she didn’t think he was up to any visitors at the time. Sofia couldn’t believe how protective Sharon was towards David when she said not at this time, but then if Sofia totally understood the condition, he was in she wouldn’t have questioned her motives.

Ending their day by enjoying a late lunch, Sofia mentioned she would be going to the job site tomorrow if she would like to come. Sharon said with the move and David on her mind she didn’t think she would be of any use to her. Sofia then suggesting after the move and once David was well enough for rehabilitation towards his road to recovery, she would have more time.

Sharon asked Sofia if she could help by taking the boys during the move, she didn’t want her mother to watch them all the time. Sofia said she would be happy to and not to worry about them.

Sharon decided to go visit David this afternoon instead of waiting until tomorrow, even though the doctors said if there was any change in his condition she would be notified. She arrived at the hospital and noticing it was getting late she called her mother Linda to see if she could come over to the house and sit with the boys until Livio got home. Linda didn’t even ask why and said she was on her way. Linda assumed it was related to her job and she was working late.

Sharon had a pass key card to the intensive care unit; she turned the corner to find him not there anymore. The last time she was there he didn’t have a room yet and they said they would call her once he was designated a private room. Walking over to the information booth and inquiring on his whereabouts only to be told that his wife had given strict orders to keep him isolated from everyone.

Sharon couldn’t believe what she was hearing and there was no point in arguing with this poor girl in the information booth. Sharon rushed home hoping Livio had arrived he needed to take action. She rushed in the front door only to find her mother making a snack for the boys that weren’t home from school yet. Linda could see that Sharon wasn’t herself so she asked if everything was ok.

Sharon knew she couldn’t get into this with her mother she would never understand nor accept her way of life. Just work and the stress of moving, I will cope with it. Sharon said with reassurance in her voice.

Thanking her mother for coming over and telling her mother she had better things to do than run over here every time she called her. She also mentioned that Sofia will be taking the boys during the move and not to worry about them. Linda said it was never a problem to watch the boys, all she ever needed to do is just call. Linda was leaving with concern about Sharon’s demeanor and would talk to Livio.

Sharon called Livio with panic in her voice.

My Goddess are you ok? Livio asked as he answered the phone.

I stopped to visit David at the hospital only to be told his wife has taken control of his care and they wouldn’t tell me anything about his whereabouts. How is this possible? He’s legally divorced with no children.

The boys arrived home with excitement in their voices telling their mom they can’t wait to move to their new home on the weekend. Sharon told them they would be staying at Sofia’s house during the move she didn’t want them hurt, by Monday or Tuesday everything should be unpacked and in their place, then they would be allowed to come back. The boys seemed to accept their mothers answer knowing they would be spending time with Penny.

Sharon was helping the boys with their homework and starting dinner as Livio came in looking confident walking over to kiss Sharon and saying hello to the boys. I need to go see David tonight; come with me I might need a lawyer to throw his weight around. I’ll call my mom to come over for a bit. Sharon said with eagerness to get going.

They arrived at the hospital and luckily it was still visitor’s hours Sharon ran to the elevator and up to the ninth floor. Livio couldn’t keep up to her so he followed behind as he made a phone call to his private investigator Peter to arrange for two security officers to maintain two twelve hour shifts watch on David’s room.

Peter assured Livio that a security officer would be there within the half hour to start the first shift.

Livio followed Sharon into the room, he had to take a deep breath he couldn’t believe his eyes, David was all wired up from his neck right down to his ankles with a feeding tube in his nose. This strong, smart, vibrant person now confined to a hospital bed most likely for the rest of his life. This could happen to anyone, him, Sharon, even the boys… Livio won’t be taking life for granted any more that’s for sure.

Leaving Sharon with David he went to find the hospital administrator to make sure all documents were on file and to remind the staff to follow strict procedures, otherwise they would have a lawsuit on their hands.

Within the half hour just like Peter promised there was a tall, husky, intimidating looking security guard standing outside David’s door. Livio introduced himself and handed him his card with strict instructions to be called day or night of any unusual disturbance or activity and he was to only permit doctors, nurses him and Sharon to enter, no one else under any circumstances, he was to restrain them and call the hospital security to have them removed.

The security guard noticed on Livio’s card that he was a lawyer as he ensured him he would follow all his instructions and would advise the second shift officer as well.

Meanwhile Sharon had some time with David reassuring him he didn’t have to worry about anything, that she would take care of all his needs from this day forward. She told him renovations are being done on their guest house which now will be including handicap alterations for all his medical requirements.

Livio overheard Sharon telling David about his new home living details, he almost wanted to cry, he knew David wouldn’t be coming home too soon that’s for sure.

Sharon was ready to leave and when she walked out into the hall she noticed the security guard standing there with Livio just off to the side, she rushed over to Livio and wrapped her arms around his waist so tight you could tell she appreciated everything he was doing for David’s safety and her sanity.

Arriving home Linda looked concerned so Sharon told her about David her friend and how he has placed her as power of attorney to his estate during his long recovery. Linda said Larry liked him very much he gave Larry some good tips on renovating with a few contact names then wished David a full recovery.

Sharon walked her mother to her car as Linda voiced that she could tell her anything. Knowing Sharon the way she did, Linda knew there was something she wasn’t telling her about David. Not wanting to insult her mother’s intelligence she decided to talk to her.

Mom, just know David will always be close to my heart and I will do whatever I can to make the rest of his life comfortable. He will be living in the guest house on our property when able, I’m having Livio fix it for all his needs.

I heard back from the insurance company regarding my claim from Tahiti’s hurricane disaster, thanks to Ricardo for taking all the pictures for me my claim has been accepted and should be paid in full within two weeks. We need to celebrate and I’ll tell you something with this project and every other one to follow, extra insurance will be added on so I will never have to go through this again.

Sharon and Sofia were relaxing outside on the patio enjoying the hot sun and having their coffee. Ricardo talking with Sharon telling her he must go back home soon and deal with some unfinished business; in the meantime, he wanted her to promise she would take care of Sofia for him.

Sharon arrived at the bank and Mr. Williams greeted her with a hand shake. She thanked him for his prompt call last night. It looked like David’s ex-wife was trying to be dishonest and swindle David out of his fortune. Then Sharon told him about her hospital episode.

Mr. Williams just shook his head in disbelief that someone can stoop that low and try to be so manipulative and scheming towards her ex especially in his incapacitated state. Thank you for the lovely basket, the wife will love it and I’ll enjoy the vintage wine.

Sharon smiled as Mr. Williams handed her some checks that she ordered for David’s checking account. I’m going to visit David now, thank you once again for your due diligence. Sharon walked out of the bank.

CHAPTER 3

Arriving at the hospital there were two doctors in with David, Sharon thought what great timing.

The doctors explained his condition in detail including the long-range prognosis. The medical team told Sharon that David’s signs and symptoms may improve, worsen or remain stable over time. His quality of life expectations, such as the ability to carry out daily activities may never happen again. The potential for complications and associated health issues is likely, his survival doesn’t look good. A complete prognosis includes the unexpected such as sudden and unpredictable crisis and to be prepared for the worse.

Sharon had to sit down, once they told her the worse was yet to come. She was requesting a consultation session with a professional on his home care before taking David home. The doctors said they could set that up and would have them get in touch with her. They knew this would be a slow recovery and Sharon didn’t need to rush with his home care but didn’t want to discourage her any more than she already was.

Relieved that a security officer was on duty at David’s door was the only good thing that came out of Sharon’s day.

Meanwhile back at the office Livio had no trouble locating and finding David’s ex-wife which was his first priority of the day. He jumped into action by placing a restraining order on her from having any contact with David, also placing a lock on all his assets to protect sensitive and personal content, making sure she was served today. What she tried to do was a criminal and illegal offence, if she tries anything like that again she will be thrown in jail and he will make sure of it.

After interviewing five candidates for the position of Project Manager Livio made his choice and feeling confident he hired Mr. Hamid Sing on the spot asking if he could start right away. He gave him Sofia’s contact information as she will be showing Mr. Sing around and hopefully be up to speed in no time.

Finishing up a bit early Livio’s assistant Jack came in with letters for him to sign before leaving, assuring Livio that Mrs. DeAngelo will be served today.
