    ARTSTAMP.DK

Artstamp.dk started in 2007 as an artistic comment to established and official stamp art practices as well as a project beyond the traditional use of the stamp and art exhibition in a broader sense.

The Artstamps are produced in limited editions and are independent miniature works of art. On the day of publishing artstamps are also published as ‘first day cover’ in small editions.

Artstamp.dk is not about the stamp as an object per se but about its diffusing and interactionist forces – its potential as an actor of openness, crossing boundaries, critical reflectivity and change.

The artstamps messages and form move beyond the immediate advantages of increasingly sophisticated technologies to insist on the physical and metaphysical presence that emerges between the stamp and the places, objects and lifes it confronts.

The essence of this exploration is that art exceeds institutional provision and connects directly to the emotional and social energies of lives and living, also when we are not in museums and galleries.
