    author:

    PREFACE

There are heroes and heroines in all our lives. How we succour or idolise them is at our discretion and ideals.

Lady Diana Frances Spencer, Princess of Wales, was indeed a heroine to many people. Some did not like her for her sometime oft outspokenness. Others because of sharp wit and needing to get the job done whosever toes may be trodden on in the process.

Diana, to a huge majority of people, was perfection. the girl born to be Queen. Loved, adored, adulated, worshipped, Diana had it all.

She had overcome many things in her life. Some say it made her a better person. Others say then opposite, but whatever your point of view of Diana and her life, one must give her respect for her unrelentless work she did on behalf of several charities.

Some people are born to become what Diana ultimately became. She had class and WAS class apart no matter how we look at it or her. The public knew full well her given position in society and accepted it. It didn’t make them love her any less. Diana was and is, a true heroine to a nation, to a commonwealth, even to republics. People saw no political energy, only persona many would die for.

And on August 31 st 1997, Lady Diana Spencer/ Princess of Wales, was tragically killed in a car accident in Paris. The world lost a true and real icon.

The conspiracies have surfaced, looking to blame. The weasels and worms clawed their way from the woodwork to make claims against a true lady who could no longer defend herself against the heinous slurs paraded by people looking to use Diana as a vehicle.

I certainly hope no-one believes that of me. The poems and thoughts herein were written in the aftermath of Diana’s tragic accident. Because it is ten years since her passing, I just wanted to share some of them with you.

Although I never met Diana tho’ did have her Royal car pass me on a road once, she was a fine, upstanding, conscientious lady. And the entire world, barring a few, loved her.

    She will never be forgotten...

    DIANA

Diana; She strived almost thanklessly for something approaching, world peace.

Diana; She strived for a better global understanding.

Diana; she was working tirelessly against poverty, for children the world over.

Diana; the Queen Britain deserved but sadly now, we never will...

Diana; Simply such a rare occurrence of life, in life; A saint’s promotion, should there ever be the need for one.

Diana; Gambled with landmines and seemed to be winning as ministers squirmed angrily withy embarrassment at the discovery that their pockets would be emptier if Diana got her way and landmines were banned, globally. They, with their fingers deep in the arms trade, just a few against Diana in a world that loved, respected and adored her and all she did and stood for.

Diana; Adored by all who saw her, admired by all who knew her, loved by all the rest, the people of the world, so much...

Diana; Leaving a legacy of sadness in her wake, but also a legacy of strength on which the world can learn to build.

Diana; We are, all of us, somewhat to blame for her untimely, unfair and sad demise.

We have to repay her patience, her understanding, her real unequivocal grace...

We must initiate what must be, a domination now, in actual world harmonies, peace between all peoples, all nations. Can we not do this now, for the sake of Diana, for the sake ourselves, for the sake of our children.

A tribute so that when we remember Diana, "let not her
