Letters from Ralph: A Soldier Writes Home During World War II

About this ebook
Ralph J. Mouw, a native of Orange City, Iowa, never forgot his roots – even when he was halfway across the world during World War II.
He joined the Army just before the war started and continued his service until after the war ended. During all that time, he faithfully wrote home.
In this collection of letters, you’ll find a firsthand account of what life was like during the war at home and overseas. Although letters were heavily censored during the war years, the editors have added comments to place them in context.
The letters are amazing for many reasons, including how calm and composed Ralph always sounded even when fighting was fierce. As a captain of a field artillery unit, he was in constant combat status from Utah Beach in Normandy to the Greater Reich.
