Poems Written by a Government Prisoner in Georgia, USA - Richard Ford

    Her Thing

    It has caused us fornication.

    It has caused us adultery.

It has caused the fall of many for all eternity.

It has brought some men love.

    It has brought some misery.

And many that have used it were brought down to their knees.

It has no mercy on those who use it, it has no sympathy.

It has caused the birth of millions and will not ever cease.

Some men use just one, some use two or three.

And the more that men will use it, the more they have need.

It has always been among us. But seldom every seen.

It comes in many sizes, it’s fun if endlessly.

It’s hidden under dresses and in pants where it can’t be seen.

But no matter where you hid it, men won’t let it be.

It lures because it’s tight and adjusts to suit men’s needs.

It stretches when you use it and is always guaranteed.

It’s small and dark and fuzzy and easy to keep clean.

And women moan when you rub it and are pleased when it is squeezed.

It never has been conquered, but gives up easily.

And has always ruled mankind and will for eternity.

It is used as a reward and gave away for free.

It has made some people rich and caused others poverty

Many have spent millions to enjoy her thing,

and it’s cash rewards and endless and government guaranteed.

    Doomed to Do Time

I’m left here forsaken, as years go by.

No hope for a future with freedom’s delights as hopelessness sets in, despair fills one’s mind. It never does end when you’re doomed to do time.

Why were we chosen, those of our kind? We struggled for freedom, we lost the good fight. Many others stay free, they never serve time. It doesn’t seem right when you’re doomed to do time.

My friends, they don’t help me. One left with my wife. They took all I owned, they had a good time. My hatred grows daily, with revenge on my mind.
