THIS IS ONE OF A SERIES OF BOOKS outlining the religion, politics and philosophy of the ancient and controversial secret society known as the Illuminati, of which the Greek polymath Pythagoras was the first official Grand Master. The society exists to this day and the author is a member, working under the pseudonym of Adam Weishaupt – the name of the Illuminati’s most notorious Grand Master.

The Illuminati’s religion is the most highly developed expression of Gnosticism and is called Illumination (alternatively, Illuminism). Dedicated to the pursuit of enlightenment, it has many parallels with the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism. It rejects the Abrahamic religions of faith: Judaism, Christianity and Islam, considering these the work of the Demiurge; an inferior, cruel and wicked deity who deludes himself that he is the True God, and who has inflicted endless horrors on humanity.

If you wish to judge for yourself how deranged the Demiurge is, you need only read the Old Testament, the story of the Demiurge’s involvement with his Chosen People, the Hebrews. You may wonder why the God of All entered into an exclusive and partisan Covenant with a tribe in the Middle East several thousand years ago, why he promised them a land (Canaan) that belonged to others, and why he then actively participated with them in a genocidal war against the Canaanites. Even more bizarrely, according to Christian theology, he then despatched all of those Hebrews, whom he had supported so fanatically, to Limbo – the edge of Hell – when they died. They couldn’t go to Heaven because they were indelibly marked by the Original Sin of Adam and Eve. Only the atonement provided by the agonising death of God’s son, Jesus Christ, could wipe the slate clean and allow the Hebrews to be released from Limbo. But there was a catch. Only those who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour were eligible for Paradise.

Of course, the Chosen People of God have almost entirely rejected Jesus Christ. Therefore, from the Christian perspective, nearly all of the Chosen People are now in hell proper. Don’t you find God’s behaviour distinctly odd? Indeed, unbelievable? Don’t alarm bells start ringing? Doesn’t the behaviour of this God sound rather more like what would be expected of Satan?

Remember that this same God ordered Abraham to perform human sacrifice on his own son, Isaac. Abraham, rather than rejecting this monstrous command, rather than denouncing the creature that gave it as evil incarnate, agreed to butcher his own flesh and blood to demonstrate how slavishly and mindlessly obedient he was – the prototype of all psychopathic, fanatical believers.

Does God’s command to Abraham sound like something that would ever pass the lips of the True God? We pity you if you think it does because you are surely a creature of the Demiurge and one of the legions of the damned. If, however, you doubt the credentials of the Abrahamic God, you may be receptive to the message of the Illuminati and our future-oriented, rational, scientific, mathematical and dialectical religion of light – Illumination.

The Question

A member of the Illuminati posted the following question on a popular internet forum for skeptics, prompting an enormous response:

Is God Evil?

"Seems like an odd question, but I’ve been thinking about this ever since I read a thriller called The Armageddon Conspiracy by Mike Hockney in which a group of people plot to kill God. The book presents the Gnostic view of history and this amounts to a belief that the material world was created by an evil demon (Satan) for the purpose of entrapping souls. Since it says in the Bible that God created the earth then God must be Satan. The True God, meanwhile, lives in a spiritual paradise that has no connection with the earth. It’s the task of a Gnostic to see reality as it really is and acquire the secret knowledge (gnosis) to allow his soul to be freed from its prison in this world and return to heaven.

The curious thing is that the God worshipped by Christians, Jews and Muslims is, according to the Gnostics, pure evil. Isn’t it totally amazing that billions of people worship a God that some people believe to be the quintessence of wickedness? Judging by some of the things that Christians, Jews and Muslims inflict on their fellow human beings (mass murder, torture, inquisition, suicide bombings, massacres, death camps, intolerance, fanaticism, witch-hunting, heresy hunting etc), don’t the Gnostics have an excellent case?

One of the reasons why religion is so absurd is that it frequently allows the precise opposite views to be arrived at from precisely the same theological facts. The Gnostics and the Christians both accept that God created the earth, but the former conclude that this was an act of supreme evil while the latter celebrate it as a great and glorious thing. Same facts, entirely different conclusions. Religion is plainly just a matter of interpretation, opinion and taste. There are no objective standards whatever. Some religions can actually contain diametrically opposed views...how is it possible for an extreme capitalist and an extreme left winger who says that money is the root of all evil to both claim that they are good Christians obeying God’s will? At least one must be wholly wrong.

In democratic terms, no religion on earth commands the allegiance of more than about 16% of the world’s population (Catholic Christianity and non-Catholic Christianity must, of course, be considered as separate religions since they have precious little in common; many Protestants brand the Pope and his Church as Antichrist). So, whatever set of beliefs you choose to adopt, at least 84% of the world’s population say you’re wrong. Isn’t it bizarre that people who trumpet the wonders of democracy, reject utterly the precepts of democracy in relation to religion? Classic Orwellian doublethink.

The democratic verdict regarding every religion is that it’s wrong. In political terms, people are willing to accept the majority view. In religion, they wouldn’t countenance it for a moment. How weird!! Shouldn’t the fact that no matter what religion they belong to, religious believers are in a tiny minority, cause them pause for thought and make them question their beliefs?

It never does. Why not? Because they are a) stupid b) inconsistent c) brainwashed d) their identity is invested in their religion and they are incapable of forming a new one, defined by themselves.

Are exclusive religions that breed fanatical adherence that makes their followers refuse to accept any criticism, that blinds them to any logical flaws in their religion, that makes them supremely intolerant towards others, that makes them wish to consign infidels to eternal hell-fire, designed to cause division and strife? So, despite pall the apparently good messages mainstream religions may or may not, is their hidden purpose not one of creating discord, violence and hatred, to bring the Four Riders of the Apocalypse to terrifying life? Is their true author not the Prince of Darkness? Are their prophets not the servants of the Father of Lies? Are their holy scriptures nothing other than the gospels of Satan?

In which case, God is indeed evil. He is Satan, just as the Gnostics maintained. And now, every day of the week all over the world, billions of people bend their knee and bow to the Lord of the Flies. They are Devil worshippers. They are the damned.

The Damned

Ask yourself a few simple questions. Of the many religions in the world, which is the correct one? How can you tell? Why should the truth be more popular and successful than seductive lies? Isn’t the road to the truth a narrow path from which many stray? And do all those who stray join the legions of the damned? Are you one of those destined for hell?

The Prophets of Truth

Imagine that humanity’s only true religion has been protected by a small, secret group of people for many thousands of years. All the while, other religions have proliferated, proclaiming themselves the truth even though they are utterly false, and capturing millions and even billions in their webs of deceit.

Throughout history, all over the world, the adherents of the false religions have relentlessly hunted down the members of the true religion and tried to exterminate them. But the followers of the true religion have grown skilled at concealment. They have survived every persecution, and have managed to keep recruiting brilliant people – including some of the most famous thinkers and artists in history – who have kept the flame alive.

But why has the true religion failed so spectacularly in the face of the false prophets? Why has the truth struggled to be heard? Can there be anything more horrific than that billions of souls have perished believing in a message that is, in most cases, the opposite of the truth?

Mass Mind Control

Imagine that you want people to go along with your plans, to never defy you or challenge you. You want them to play your game on your terms. How would you achieve it?

The Prison of the Mind

People securely locked up in prison pose no threat to those outside the prison walls. Imagine you could construct a prison – a prison of the mind – from which those inside can never threaten your power and control.

What are some of the things a psychologist of mass control might come up with?

1) Turn the other cheek. If I were relentlessly hurting you, stealing from you, and abusing you, the ideal scenario for me would be for you not to fight back, for you to turn the other cheek and let me keep doing it. Cui bono? The abusers or the abused?

2) Wait for the kingdom of heaven to enjoy the rewards of your earthly struggle. If I’m enjoying the pleasures of the world, I don’t wish others to take those pleasures from me. How do I ensure they don’t? I say to them that they shouldn’t trouble themselves with enjoying themselves here and now, on this earth during these lives of theirs. They should keep rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar’s i.e. they should let the rich keep taking from them. They should have their eyes directed at some future state (heaven) rather than the state of things right now. Cui bono? Those who already have, or those who don’t have?

3) The American dream. If you work hard, you will reap your rewards. If you’re not getting your rewards ipso facto you’re not working hard enough. So, the many tens of millions of Americans who work incredibly hard but come home with scarcely a cent in their pockets are at fault, whereas the lazy, inept, privileged investment bankers who walk off into the sunset (and the most exclusive golf clubs) with tens of millions of dollars obviously fully deserve it for all of their hard work. (Consider the economic meltdown – who caused it? Not you. Who’s paying for it? You, of course. When will you wise up?) Cui bono? Those who are already rich, or those who dream of being rich?

4) In the UK, the national lottery uses a slogan, It could be you. Yes, it could be, but the odds are 14 million to one against so it almost certainly won’t be. The American Dream is the same. You could be one of the handful that comes from nowhere to enjoy spectacular riches. But if the odds are millions to one against, the American Dream is as accessible to you as a lottery win. Stop dreaming. The psychologists of control – those who already have all they wish – are the creators of the American Dream. It is one of their finest, surest levers of control. The American reality is that two mediocre individuals who are no exemplars of hard work – George Bush, senior and junior – became Presidents. How did they manage it? Did they follow the American Dream, or did they happen to be born into an extremely rich, privileged and influential family? The American Dream is a fantasy – and a fantastic means of controlling the desperate masses. Only an idiot worships a fantasy.

The Prosecution Of The People Of The Book

So, shall we start at the beginning, with the Jews? What are their claims to the truth? Isn’t it a fact that present-day Palestine is the anvil upon which the whole world is being hammered? More than half of the world’s population – the Christians and the Muslims – are at each other’s throats because a few million Jews think that a Hebrew God no one else believes in promised them a barren, parched piece of land already populated by others. Surely, it wasn’t so difficult for the all-powerful Jehovah to find a beautiful piece of land with no one in it, a promised land of milk and honey that didn’t automatically result in conflict. Why didn’t he? Can’t he do anything he likes?

According to their own Bible, the Jews violently seized the land from the Canaanites, so why would they feel any guilt about stealing it a second time from the Palestinians? And don’t forget, the Palestinians are the direct descendants of the Philistines who lived in ancient Palestine, so no one can deny the legitimacy of their claim to their own land. The truth is the Israelis are a people born in violence, who have no compunction about using violence to get what they want. How can they complain about becoming the targets of others’ violence?
