John W. Fuller is a retired cabinet maker and laminator. He started out in a cabinet shop installing cabinets and tops and then worked in every area of the shop producing and assembling cabinets and countertops. The majority of his 14 years in the shop he made countertops and frameless laminated cabinets. He has made wooden countertops, wood bar tops, a copper bar top and many plastic laminate tops with the various facings of laminate, wood, beveled laminate or other molded products. He lives with his wife on a hobby farm in Minnesota spending his time on family genealogy and painting acrylic landscapes.

This booklet attempts instruction on the design, procedures for building, and the installation of wood edge or decorative bevel laminate countertops. There are many ways to do this. I am presenting the way that I build them. Please read through and familiarize yourself with the entire process. Then come back to the beginning and follow along as you build the countertop.

long straight bit or flush trim bit with bearing; a solid carbide trimmer bit (laminate cut off bit); 45° bevel bit
