About this ebook

Veronica Sandfield put everything into her Italian dream vacation. Her life savings. Her hopes. Her dreams. And her plans to find a hot Italian lover to sweep her off to his romantic vineyard for a happily ever after. But when Veronica arrives at the beautiful villa in Tuscany, it's already occupied. The guys might be hot, but they're American. And they're less than thrilled to discover a booking issue has left the three of them with no choice but to be vacation roommates.

Mitch Baskin came to Tuscany to finish his long time relationship with Enzo Caruso. Their relationship has been on borrowed time for too long and the photographer figures this is the place to bury it once and for all. When Veronica blunders into the middle of Mitch's romantic drama, he's less than thrilled. Except there's something about Veronica's infernal optimism and joie de vivre that fascinates Mitch. He's drawn to her almost against his will. Once he takes a chance and kisses her, he knows there is no turning back.

Enzo Caruso is a professional fat bike racer with a secret. He's tired. Tired of being the life of the party. Tired of struggling to stay on top in an ultra competitive sport. And tired of constantly bickering with long time lover, Mitch. Enzo cannot help but think that Veronica is fate's gift. She's everything Enzo was looking for when he didn't realize he was looking. It's not like Enzo and Mitch are gay. They're bisexual. So, why can't the three of them enjoy some of the best vacation sex Italy has to offer? But when the vacation is over, how will the three of them pick up the threads of their former lives and just move on.

    Vacation Lovers - Kaitlin Maitland

    Chapter One

    VERONICA

This was it. Veronica Sandfield was absolutely sure of it. She had arrived. After all of the planning and wishing and being so afraid to actually book the vacation rental, she was here in Tuscany to seize her destiny.

At least that was what she’d been telling herself during the long flight, the endless hours of travel, and finally the long car ride from the airport in Perugia. As Veronica watched the little blue and white car trundle away through the thick trees surrounding the rental villa’s elegant iron gates, she could not help but feel a jolt of excitement.

She turned and caught her breath. The rolling hills of Tuscany spread all around her. The sky was a brilliant shade of blue dotted with huge fluffy, white clouds. Red poppies dotted the lush green fields close to the little stone house and beyond that was the ancient olive grove. It was everything Veronica had dreamed it would be and more.

Catching hold of her roller suitcase, Veronica carefully stacked her few other bags atop that and slowly made her way up the drive. She hadn’t rented a car for her stay. Why bother when Caldana was only seven minutes away on foot? This was her dream vacation and she intended to soak up as much of the atmosphere as possible.

"The food, the wine, the people. She giggled as she talked out loud. Everything was happy sighs and positivity. And somewhere in Caldana, my handsome Italian lover."

Even the thought made her giddy with excitement. She did a little heel toe dance step as she reveled in the feel of the warm, Tuscan sun on her skin. She’d only booked a week for her dream vacation. She had a week to immerse herself in Italian culture and small town life. A week to find her handsome Italian lover so that he could sweep her off her feet into a new life at a little villa in his olive grove.

Veronica stopped walking. Olive grove. Hmm. Maybe vineyard. Yes. That would be over the top romantic. A vineyard owning Italian hottie with huge shoulders and sexy dark eyes. What girl wouldn’t swoon the first time he told her that he loved her—in Italian of course?

A little giggle escaped her lips as she emerged from the narrow driveway into the gravel parking area tucked into the side yard of the house. The stone house itself was so picturesque that Veronica almost stopped to snap off a selfie. Photographic proof she could post on Facebook to show everyone back home in Lamar, Missouri that she had really made it. But there would be time for that later. Right now, Veronica wanted to explore her home for the week.

The stone villa was tucked into a hill overlooking the countryside with a view of the ocean in the distance. The landscape was filled with sights to take in and the two story deck on the right side of the villa would be the perfect place to do that just as soon as she dropped her luggage inside.

It was the pair of bicycles that snagged her attention first. They were tucked into the side of the villa on the lower level of the deck. Veronica didn’t remember the online travel brochure saying that there were bicycles included as an amenity. Not that she wouldn’t welcome a chance to cycle into Caldana. It just seemed strange to see a pair of bicycles sitting out as though they’d just been laid aside.

Her sudden curiosity about the bicycles had drawn her off the path to the front door. Letting go of her roller case, Veronica frowned as she left the idea of the double door front entry altogether to approach the lower patio level of the deck. It was shady down here with plants and shrubs growing close to create a secluded area to enjoy a good book or a long nap.

A good book. Kind of like the one being read by the unfamiliar man currently occupying the lounger on the patio. A dark haired man with just a little bit of stubble on his face. Veronica felt her breath catch in her throat as she sidestepped to get a better view of the stranger. His hair was long and tousled as though he could not be bothered to do much with it. His jaw was strong. She could only glimpse a side profile of him, but it was enough to suggest he was a serious type. His expression said as much. He was lounging in the padded chair with his long legs stretched out and his blunt fingered hands holding his book. He wore a pair of cargo shorts and a plain blue T-shirt as though he were nothing but a tourist. His legs were covered in dark hair and the shadow of a beard coated his cheeks and chin. Beneath the hair, his skin was swarthy.

She wasn’t sure what to say. Sure. She’d joked with her travel agent back in Lamar about adding the romantic getaway package to her vacation. Surely, that wasn’t an actual thing. So, what was this guy doing here.

Excuse me, can we help you?

Veronica’s knees nearly buckled as she struggled not to collapse from shock when a second man walked out of the arched doorway leading from the lower level of the villa to the patio. Tall, dark, handsome—no. Dramatically handsome.

    Oh. My. God!

This man was leaner than the guy on the lounger. Long legs so tight with muscle that Veronica wondered how he could even bend them. His ass was—well it was perfect. And she could see that because he was wearing a tiny pair of biker shorts that barely covered his ass cheeks. His chest was bare. His pectorals were hard and perfect and he had a set of washboard abs that made her mouth water. His chest had not one bit of hair on it. There was only a dusting low on his belly. Low enough to draw her eyes down and down, and then Veronica realized that she was staring at his crotch.

    Shit.

I’m sorry. The man spoke again. His voice was like warm honey. He had such a handsome face. Chiseled and perfect with angular cheekbones and a straight nose. His eyes were brilliant blue. It was such a shock when paired with the short, curly dark hair that she was almost mesmerized just looking at his face. "Do you not speak English? Parla italiano?"

Veronica struggled to find her voice. She needed to say something. After all, these two men were standing here in her vacation rental and she should probably get around to asking why. Unless they somehow came with the package. Concierge maybe?

    Yum. Yum!

    ENZO

The girl didn’t look Italian. At least not like any Italian girl that Enzo Caruso had ever seen before. Her hair was blonde and tousled. It was the kind of hair that invited a man to run his fingers through it. Her eyes were green. Bright green. Beneath her dark brows and framed by waves of blonde hair, they were incredibly alluring. She had a round figure with ripe breasts and a lush bottom. Enzo felt his cock stirring the longer he stared at her. She was wearing a simple white cotton dress that hugged her breasts and hips and then flowed around her legs. Her sandals allowed a peek at her dainty feet with their pink painted toenails. Enzo couldn’t help but notice that she had great feet. He was a sucker for pretty feet.

    "Parla italiano?" Enzo tried again.

He was hoping she was local. That would make this a much more interesting vacation. Except of course, that he was here to rekindle the lost romance between himself and Mitch. Perhaps a nice vacation fling with a beautiful blonde seductress could help push that along. So far they hadn’t been having much luck in the rekindling department.

No. I’m sorry. I don’t actually—well I speak American... English! Her cheeks flushed a rather becoming shade of pink. I’m not from here. I’m from Missouri.

Mitch snorted from his spot on the lounger. He’d barely looked up from his book. Missouri? What on earth are you doing in Tuscany?

I’m on vacation? She didn’t sound all that sure of herself at the moment.

Enzo cast a dirty look in Mitch’s direction. Don’t mind him. He’s prickly as hell before he’s consumed at least a bottle of wine.

A whole bottle? The young woman’s eyes got just a fraction wider and Enzo noticed the luscious shape of her lips.

Damn. She really was enticing. Of course, Mitch would probably just say that Enzo was a childish idiot who got horny for anything male or female within a twenty-foot radius. Enzo sighed. Sometimes he got a little tired of Mitch’s perpetual sarcasm.

That’s a lie. Mitch finally set his book aside and stood up. He was just a fraction taller than Enzo’s six foot one inch which meant he positively towered over their unexpected guest. Can we help you? We weren’t expecting any visitors here. We’re on vacation. If you’re stalking Enzo...

Mitch, enough. Enzo growled the words and prepared for the argument, but the young woman beat him to it.

Excuse me? You’re on vacation? She sounded huffy as she jammed her right hand down on her round hip and cocked her head in an almost aggressive manner. This is my vacation rental. So, if you want to vacation somewhere, I suggest you find your own lodgings.

Mitch’s handsome features dissolved into a frown. The kind of frown that
