About this ebook

Is your pooch suffering from the boredom blues when indoors? We know that like humans, our pets need to be engaged in some activity to keep them from becoming bored. Dogs that are bored normally get into trouble.

This book outlines 25 games (including pictures) that you can engage in with your pets while indoors. Whether it be during this time when most of us are staying indoors due to social distancing regulations or during the winter months when it is not ideal to take your pets outdoors. If not taken outdoors, it means that our dogs may not be getting the amount of exercise needed to keep fit and mentally stimulated.

These activities will not only keep you and your pooch active but also mentally stimulated. Inside you will find pictures of activities/games that both you and your dog can have fun playing indoors. These activities can also be done outdoors as well.

    Introduction

HOW OFTEN DO YOU TAKE your pooch outside? Is your dog suffering from the boredom blues when indoors? We, as humans often experience this especially during this time of Social Distancing when we have to stay indoors for long periods of time.  It is human nature to be constantly occupied in order to stimulate our mental capacity.  If we are not engaged, whether meaningfully or not, then things become monotonous and boring.

However, with the vast advancement of technology, we are able to keep ourselves occupied by utilizing our technological gadgets such as; laptops, iPads, cell phones and tablets.

Like us, our canines need to engage in activities when indoors as they too will become bored. Let’s face it, during winter, on rainy or even extremely hot days, it is impossible to take our pets outside to give them the required amount of exercise they need.   On these days you have to be creative and design games that both you and your pooch can play.

We are all fully aware that if they are not occupied, they will get into trouble.  Therefore, if you're searching for some games to play with your canine indoors continue reading this article to discover the 25 different games you can play to keep these great animals occupied.

    1. Show Your Dog How to Put Away Its Toys

WHEREVER YOU KEEP YOUR canine's toys, you can instruct them to put their toys away. I realize it sounds odd to show your pooch how to tidy up after itself, however, it's a great deal of fun.  Showing your canine new aptitudes will give them confidence while putting their brains to work.

    Concentrate on Drop

First, get a properly measured box that is low enough that your canine can drop its toys into without having any difficulty and has a wide enough opening that you both can work easily over it. Start by training your pooch to drop a toy when you ask him to do so. Give your hound a toy that he adores, next, hold a treat before his nose while the toy is in his mouth and tell it to drop and once he opens his mouth quickly give him the treat. On the off chance that your canine loves toys, you can avoid the treat and simply utilize another toy as the prize. Do this procedure a few times until you can simply request that he drop without utilizing the food bait in front of his nose.
