    Claire isn't the type of girl that sleeps around. When at the club one night, however, she sees a god across the room and wants nothing more than a one night stand. Ari is at the club because his friend got a promotion, and he wants to make sure his friend doesn't step out on his wife. Many women approach him, but he shoots them all down. Then Claire makes her move on him, unsure of what will happen. She wants to worship him with a night of passion, but what is he looking for?

     

    One Night Worship is a very short story about the possibility of a relationship. It's not a traditional romance story, in that the ending of the story is where most relationships begin. I had a lot of fun writing this, trying to encapsulate the typical first act of a three-act story within a few thousand words. I hope you enjoy reading it!

      Chapter 1

      Claire could count on one hand the number of one-night stands she had in her 26 years of life. She didn’t normally engage in that sort of behavior. But tonight – well, tonight she might need that second hand. She spotted a god across the club and she wanted to get down on her knees to worship him. However, she wore her tight red cocktail dress tonight, which showed off her athletic figure, long, toned legs, and the ample cleavage between her plump breasts. She didn’t know exactly how she’d make it down to her knees to worship and then back up, but that problem could wait till it arrived.

      It took her most of the night to build up the courage to approach
