About this ebook

“Don’t underestimate a dangerous women. And don’t judge by appearances; evil can be pleasant and pretty on the outside. Just like poison candy.”

—Joni E. Johnston, Psy.D

Raven never expected to become a serial killer chasing other serial killers, but after the FBI and local authorities take her to the scene of her sister’s murder, a switch flips. Now, she can’t stop hunting the bastard who left her sister’s body hanging from a tree. But with each roadblock she encounters—from the Bayou summer cabins she used to share with Sara to the shoreline in Savannah, Georgia—Raven is forced to confront the fact that she may not have ever truly known the sister she’s avenging.

Candle wax on tables. Cameras hidden in secret rooms behind bookcases. Getting closer to the truth opens Raven’s reality to the many women who have been murdered like her sister, to the many Didn’t Make Its, to the many serial killers who need to pay. The FBI might deem her actions as a wild killing spree, but Raven sees it as a damn earned vengeance.

Yet she never imagined getting the attention of an worldwide Romani human trafficking ring and baby factory. It turns out, Sara had been right in the middle of it all. But if Raven had been spared as a child, why not her sister during all those summers? When all their family secrets finally surface once and for all, no woman is safe!

Anthony Aaron Richards

Anthony Aaron Richards (www.aarichardswrites.com) was born Anthony La Forgia. He grew up a very adventurous young boy and that followed him into his adult years. Anthony was and still is a pusher of positive energy to everyone he meets. He has been a business owner in corporate management with a masters in psychology as well as a lifelong learner. January 28, 1990, had been when Anthony Aaron Richards, the writer, was finally born—the stories had just taken over and started to hit paper. He wrote a children’s story and followed that with a couple of sorts during a time with his boys that exploded with fun imagination and activities. Real output for his writing came about in 1999 with Example of Power, his first thriller—on September 11, he put it in the drawer. It wasn’t until the next year that The Vengeance Chronicles came into the works. Sidebar, the chronicles are about helping women in terrible situations.Anthony’s history in that area was what had led him to help fight abuse in his own way. Through his stories, of course. He had witnessed abuse at a very young age, and that was forever imprinted on his psyche. In that, Anthony has spent a lifetime counseling and aiding women to get out of unwanted situations, fight back, and rebuild their lives. So, Raven came along to further fill those shoes and take on the battle with the seven-book series... The entire first book has a planned release later in 2020.

    A Beginning to an End

"Don’t underestimate a dangerous woman. And don’t judge by appearances; evil can be pleasant and pretty on the outside. Just like poisoned candy!"

    Joni E. Johnston, PsyD

The Savannah shoreline this evening seems fresh and freeing. The last couple of months were intense, to say the least. I never would have believed killing someone would be so taxing, both mentally and physically, for a girl like me. Well, killing period! Yet, at the same time, taking someone’s life was a calming and truly hypnotic ordeal. I guess that’s how crazy works, right?

Understand I’m not trying to boast or anything. It’s just that Collin killed my sister. He needed to feel the pain of what he had done. Jack and the FBI weren’t going to do that. I had to be the one to do it, and, yes, I did it. I really have no idea if my one act of justice will change the course of my life, or the lives of so many other people. But in no way am I sorry. My mission for my sister and myself is done, so tonight is my night to relax and forget the past couple months.

Savannah, Georgia, couldn’t be a more perfect place to let go for the next twenty-four hours. Her streets are on fire with the Southern Nights Jubilee. It’s a celebration held every year at the end of summer and the start of fall.

All of Savannah and its people are dressed as if they were Southern royalty from years past. The women have their big flowery hats, fluffy hoop dresses, and multicolored lace parasols twirling throughout the tree-lined streets. Some even sip on mint julep as they wander through the historic River District. We can’t forget the men. The ones with their walking canes and Southern Gentleman suits mostly suck on cigars while strolling through the park. The ones dressed as Confederate and Union soldiers with swords and sidearms pretend to battle their enemies in the streets. I laugh to myself as others walk their dogs around the fights and tip their hats, addressing each other as Colonel or Brigadier. How fun is this?

As I stand on my balcony at the Olde Harbor Inn, directly across from the park, yummy smells of crawfish and hush puppies fill the air. Street performers of all kinds drift in and out of the cheering crowds. Some blow fire from their lips, while others do magic—and grift a few pockets along the way. Music plays from every street corner, filling the void between our ears with sweet Southern sounds. Such a perfect place to just disappear...

Disappearing is exactly what this girl needs after my little morning project out on Cockspur Island. The end of Collin, a Cock-spur of a man! That’s such a fitting name and a fitting end for that piece of garbage. That horrible man got away with murdering Sara and so many other innocent women. To think he would still be out there looking for his next kill… But karma is a real bitch, right?

I pop out of my hotel and head towards the lights near the beautiful tree-lined park on East River Street. The park is right next to the boardwalk on Bay Street, with cute little local shops and restaurants serving the most delicious Southern treats ever. Tonight, tent vendors are set
