INTRODUCTION

THE MOST IMPORTANT reasons we were given the Bible—the Word of God—are so that we can know the wonderful plans that God has for us, experience His presence in our lives, and be equipped to fulfill His will on earth.

The Bible contains God’s words—the specific things He knew we would need to know in order to live a life that pleases Him. He wants us to hear His voice in our spirits no matter what the circumstances are in life or how many other voices are pressing upon us for our attention. His voice rises above the din and confusion of all other sounds—if we have learned to listen for His voice and to recognize Him when He is speaking to us.

God’s presence in our lives and His words within our spirit can dispel the greatest sorrow, cut through the clouds of distraction and confusion, and rise above the threats and taunts of demonic spirits that would bind us to their evil, godless philosophies and snatch us from God’s promise of eternity with Him.

But God’s Word cannot do any of these things unless we have diligently studied His written Word and learned to recognize His voice of revelation speaking in our spirits. It cannot guide us on the path of righteousness or keep us out of the captivity of Satan unless we know it. It will not instruct in spiritual warfare in our battles with Satan and his demonic forces unless it has become our warfare victory manual.

This book is filled with God’s words for us today. It is written in His voice, and reading it will be like sitting at His feet as He speaks to us about our daily interactions and needs. It seeks to articulate the thoughts of God for His daughters. It will inform your day, guide your path, strengthen your resolve, and provide your defensive strategies against Satan.

God Himself spoke to us about the importance of knowing and hearing His Words when He said:

"My thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways," declares

the LORD.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

As the rain and the snow

come down from heaven,

and do not return to it

without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and

bread for the eater,

so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

Use this book to allow God to sit with you in conversation each day, and to fill your spirit with His counsel and guidance. It will enrich your life and prepare you to be victorious in each circumstance and situation that you face. God’s Word— whether written or whispered silently in your spirit—will be all you need to live a life that is fully pleasing to Him.

Meeting With Your Commander

JANUARY 1

MY WORD AND MY POWER ARE ALL YOU NEED

IN MY WORD you will discover the thoughts that I think about you. I have desired that your life be filled with My great peace, not with the evil and turmoil that you will find in the world, which the enemy will try to thrust upon you. My Word will help you to see the glorious future I have planned for you and will surround your life with the hope of overcoming the evil in this world through My strength and power. Allow My Holy Spirit to fill you up with My supernatural power. With My power there is nothing the enemy can do to hurt you, My daughter. My Word and My power will help you to fill the whole earth with My glory.

Prayer Declaration

Father, Your Word tells me to call to You, and You will answer me and show me great and mighty things, which I do not know. I am calling to You today!

JANUARY 2

I LONG TO MEET WITH YOU

MY DAUGHTER, I long to spend time with you every day. If you will only call to Me, I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that I can do for you, things that you do not know. I delight in the prayers you pray to Me. My ears are continually open to hear you call to Me. Your earnest and heartfelt prayers will cause My tremendous power to be available to you. Learn to pray without ceasing, and I will bring you salvation and deliverance from your enemies. The enemy wants to cause you to be powerless and hopeless in this present day. But I am Your Helper, and I will not despise your prayer or turn away from you. If you will only meet with Me every day, I will give you My Spirit’s power to overcome the enemy.

Prayer Declaration

Lord, I waited patiently for You, and You heard my cry. You lifted me out of a slimy pit of mud and mire, and You set my feet firmly on a rock. You put a new song in my mouth and gave me a hymn of praise I can sing to You. Let those around me see and learn to put their trust also in You.

JANUARY 3

I WANT YOU TO USE MY WORDS TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE

IF YOU WILL confess My Word daily and meet with Me in prayer daily, I will give you a great release of My power in your life. My Spirit will illuminate My Word to you and help you to see clearly My plan for your life—and how the enemy wants to stop that plan! As you read My Word and meet with Me through prayer, your faith will keep you from becoming sluggish and dull spiritually, and because of your faith, you will inherit My promises. Remember My servant Daniel, who was able to pray effectively because he knew My Word concerning My people. Today many of My daughters are held captive by the evil, sinful desires of people who are controlled by the enemy. When you pray and confess My Word, you will be able to release My mind, which brings My Spirit and My life to those in bondage.

Prayer Declaration

Father, Your Holy Spirit has illuminated Your Word to me and given me weapons of warfare that are filled with Your power, which I am using daily to wage war against the enemy and to demolish strongholds.

JANUARY 4

I WANT TO GIVE YOU THE KEYS TO MY KINGDOM

HAVE YOU BECOME disillusioned and discouraged because of the wickedness and corruption that exist all around you in this sinful world? Don’t you know that I want to give you the keys to My kingdom in heaven? Not even hell itself will be able to prevail against My kingdom. With the keys to My kingdom, I have given you authority to bind and loose. You will be able to restrict, stop, hinder, fetter, check, hold back, arrest, and put a stop to the demonic strongholds in your world. You can use the keys of My kingdom to lock up sickness and disease, hurt, witchcraft, poverty, death, destruction, confusion, defeat, and discouragement from your life. By doing that you will loose yourself—and others—from the works of darkness, the works of Satan. Always remember that I have given My daughters—you—power and authority over all devils.

Prayer Declaration

You have promised, Lord, that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous woman is powerful. You take delight in answering me when I call, and You are doing great and mighty things in my life.

JANUARY 5

MY WORD WILL GIVE YOU POWER TO DEMOLISH STRONGHOLDS

AS YOU CONTINUE to take a stand on the promises I have given you in My Word, you will be able to demolish the satanic strongholds around you. My Word is more powerful than the raging fires that cause destruction and death wherever they rage. My Word is a strong fire that will burn up the works of wickedness. Do you hate every false way that Satan uses to sidetrack people from the path of life onto the path of death? Do you want to see changes in your city, region, and nation? I have given you the power to represent My kingdom and to even change geographic regions. You, My daughter, are a king in My kingdom, and your word is filled with authority and power against the kingdoms of this evil world. Stand firm in the power I have given you. Don’t suffer unnecessarily by failing to exercise your authority in Me.

Prayer Declaration

O God, I will use Your Word like a powerful hammer to break down all of Satan’s defensive borders. Your Word will spread like a wild fire throughout the enemy’s domain, burning up all his works of darkness.

JANUARY 6

MY POWER WILL MAKE YOU VICTORIOUS

ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT you are not wrestling against flesh and blood. If you want to overcome and be victorious over principalities and powers, learn to prepare yourself in My armor. Buckle My belt of truth around your waist, and put on My breastplate of righteousness. Fit your feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. As you prepare to move forward into battle with Satan and his demonic forces, take up the shield of faith, for it will extinguish all the flaming arrows that the evil one and his army shoot at you. Put My helmet of salvation on your head, and put the sword of My Spirit—My Word—in your hands. Above all else, daughter, come to Me continually, in every circumstance you confront, with your requests for My assistance. Our continual fellowship will make you victorious in every demonic confrontation with the enemy.

Prayer Declaration

I am dead to my sinful nature because God has made me alive with Christ. Because of His Son’s sacrifice, God has forgiven all my sins, nailing them to the cross of Calvary. He has disarmed all demonic powers and authorities and allowed me to triumph over them through the work of His Son on the cross.

JANUARY 7

I WILL CAUSE YOU TO BREAK THROUGH ANY DEMONIC OPPOSITION

THROUGH YOUR PRAYERS to Me My power can flow. Never forget that My Word and My Holy Spirit are your source of power. Stand strong in Me and in the power of My might. I am a mighty man of war, and I will fight your battles for you. You can depend on My power and direction. I will be the strength of your life. Meditate upon My Word. Speak forth My Word with your mouth. I am the source for all your victories and breakthroughs. My Word contains wisdom and strategies for your warfare. As you study My Word, I will lead you forward to liberty and victory over every demonic force that comes against you. As you call upon Me, I will answer you and will show you great and mighty things that you do not know.

Prayer Declaration

I praise my Lord who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield in whom I take refuge.

JANUARY 8

YOU CAN COUNT ON MY READINESS TO HELP YOU

MY DAUGHTER, I am ready to help you, so there is no weapon that is formed against you that will be successful. I have established you in My righteousness, and all forms of demonic oppression are far away from you. Don’t be afraid of Satan’s show of force, because I am with you. I have not given you a spirit of fear. I have given to you all my power through My Holy Spirit. I have filled you with My love, and I have given to you a sound mind. Stand secure in Me. Don’t be afraid of Satan’s intimidation. Don’t worry about whether you have enough strength for the battles you must fight. You are My beloved daughter, and I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing from My place in heaven. I have delivered you from the power of darkness and have translated you into My kingdom where I dwell with My dear Son.

Prayer Declaration

Lord, You are my fortress. I live under Your protection, and I rest in Your powerful shadow. When I am in trouble, I will call out to You, and You will answer me with Your arm of protection. You will honor me and give me long life with Your saving power.

JANUARY 9

I WANT TO SHOW YOU WHAT I HAVE FOR YOU

STAY IN MY presence, for I want to show You the blessings that I have for you. Because I love you so much, you have great favor with Me, and I give you favor with your fellow man as well. I will anoint your head with oil, and your life will overflow with My blessings. Goodness and mercy will surround your life as long as you live. You will reign in godly power in your life because of the great sacrifice of My Son, Jesus, for you. Each step you take will be bathed in My divine light, and the blood of My dear Son, Jesus, has cleansed you from all your sin. No evil will befall you, and no plague will come near your home and family. Stay hidden in My secret place, where you are rooted and grounded in My love.

Prayer Declaration

Father, because You are my shepherd, I will never be in need. You will lead me along the right paths. If I walk through a valley as dark as death, I won’t be afraid because You are with me. Your kindness and love will always be with me each day of my life.

JANUARY 10

LET ME REMIND YOU OF WHO YOU ARE

I HAVE SEEN the times when you felt alone . . . abandoned . . . helpless, and I want to remind you of who you really are. Allow My Holy Spirit to touch your spirit and confirm who you really are. I am Your Father; you are My daughter! There is an unbelievable inheritance waiting for you! My own dear Son gave His life so that you could live. You have been created anew and are clothed in My own righteousness. I have given you eternal life through My Son. I created you to do good works and gave you My promise that you can do all things through the power of My Son, who strengthens you. You have My mind; your life is hidden in Me; and because My Son lives in you, you have been filled with the hope of sharing in My glory. Through the work of My Son, all your needs will be supplied. You are Mine!

Father, You gave me Your Spirit to make me wise and to help me understand what it means to know You. Your light floods my heart with the hope of the glorious blessings and the wonderful power You have for me.

MY DAUGHTER, DO you know that I take great delight in you? Your dedication to live your life by pleasing Me has caused Me to rejoice over you with singing.
