INTRO
.
Universe 42/137
.
There is supposedly an infinite number of universes and among those who explore such different universes, they label the one we will be visiting in this story as Universe 42/137. Some universes are filled with spaceships, aliens and lasers. Some are filled with magic, dragons and elves. However, Universe 42/137 is one of the few discovered to have both these elements but at a cost!
.
The two types of reality do not sit well with each other. In places where magic is most common, higher levels of technology tend to have spectacular and unlikely breakdowns. (Although some ancient rare races have found ways to mix the two successfully). Places full of enough high technology tends to drain magic from the world and make it less likely to function. Lastly, there are areas of Universe 42/137 where a precarious balance has been struck, allowing both to function.
.
The result.
.
Times when dragons fly massive star ships, wizards shoot guns and nothing can be taken for granted!
.
.
Government
.
A mighty monarchy Empire rules the vast majority of Universe 42/137. There are very many levels of royalty, under which is the base citizenship.
.
Royalty brings privilege. Citizenship brings very basic human rights. (Depending on the planet). Under the citizenship comes the slaves who're only protection lies in their inherent value. Below even them are the non-caste or non-citizen, who may be enslaved (if they’re lucky, as slavery gives protection afforded any citizen’s personal property,) killed, raped for pleasure or treated like vermin for expedience. This lowest of categories includes any race, system or planet that dare try to separate from the Empire.
.
The Emperor is God of gods. All worship the never-dying Emperor.
.
.
Local Universes
.
Universe 47/137b or hyperspace. Ships use hyperspace to travel vast distances very quickly. Magic works at its most powerful in hyperspace without affecting technology.
.
Although travellers have been known to vomit excessively due to hyperspace sickness.
.
Universe 47/137c or cyberspace. It is arguable whether or nor cyberspace is a real alternative universe. The only rule in cyberspace is that you cannot have, ironically, a virtual computer inside the computer world. They simply fail to materialize every time a programmer tries to code one up

CHAPTER 1 THE MAIN PLAYERS
The world was called Bolox. It was a desert planet whose only export was the minerals taken from its vast hot sands.
Deep in a cavern beneath the royal palace, a young girl was held against her will.
She was called Terisa and she had just turned eighteen. She was naked and flanked by four fully armed royal guards. If the guards ever felt anything, had any reservations about the things they were sometimes ordered to do, they wisely kept it to themselves.
A large muscular bald man decked in little more than jewels. He was plainly sexually aroused. The rest of the cavern was dark.
Welcome my dear,
said the bald man, I am Baron of the planet Bolox,
The girl was too frightened to comment.
On cue, three lights lit up three similar men, naked and very heavily beaten about the face,
