    What a bunch of crap! Happy endings don’t exist for people like me! She pulled a hand through her short blonde hair roughly. I’ll die the way I live...alone! Coriander pushed away from her desk and stomped into the kitchen, turned the kettle on, then leaned both hands on the marble counter.

    I disagree, came a voice from behind her.

    She spun on the balls of her feet and was back in the living room with only a few steps. Her eyes darted from one corner of the room to the other, but she was alone. She bolted into her bedroom but found no one there either. What the hell…I’m hearing things.
