Introduction: This short story is the sequel to the ‘The Sales Lady’. The story carries on as Harriett Fawcett tries to find the truth about her husband’s first wife’s death.

Harriet Fawcett was in her early thirties. Her shoulder length curly blonde air, flawless complexion and shining blue-green eyes attracted many an admiring smile from men of all ages. She stood next to the railing on the cruise ship looking at the receding shoreline. The air was soft and warm as it soothingly and gently brushed her face. She felt Jeffrey’s arms from behind as he moved closer to hold her. She was hopeful that the happiness she had experienced over the last few days since her wedding would last forever.

It was Harriet’s second marriage and when her and her first husband divorced her on the grounds that he no longer loved her she was broken-hearted. The idea of her marrying again was too painful to consider for several years, until she had met Jeffrey. She was a good business woman and over a relatively short period, she became comfortably successful. In many ways Jeffrey was not unlike her first husband, even in appearance. This was not surprising as Jeffrey and her first husband were second cousins.
