    "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland", widely beloved British children’s book by Lewis Carroll, published in 1865. 
    Though the book was not hugely successful at its time, it’s become widely regarded as a masterpiece of children’s literature, admired for its imaginative characters and ridiculous plot. The book has been adapted to a number of different genres and platforms, and a sequel, "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There", followed six years later.

    The story centres on Alice, a young girl who falls asleep in a meadow and dreams that she follows the White Rabbit down a rabbit hole. She has many wondrous, often bizarre adventures with thoroughly illogical and very strange creatures, often changing size unexpectedly...

    Lewis Carroll

    Lewis Carroll (1832-1898), was the pen name of Oxford mathematician, logician, photographer, and author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. At age twenty he received a studentship at Christ Church and was appointed a lecturer in mathematics. Though shy, Dodgson enjoyed creating delightful stories for children. His world-famous works include the novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and the poems The Hunting of the Snark and Jabberwocky.
