PROLOGUE
The Mandrarian Lands were on the brink of chaos, the five crowns ceased to be, and the spirit of the young Harnam regent of the Pirien Desert and Lord Kalranh of Puy Mefron was corrupted by the black magic of the Necromancer Thaar.
Count Nerrum used his influence to create the worst of enemies: the Black Knight Krïnhom, guardian of the mighty hammer of Aldharyth, forged by the evil artisans in the pay of the necromancer. This tool of destruction then guided the new dark army that left the citadel of Shaltara, it separated in order to annihilate Galnor the great city of arms and to enslave the people of Puy Mefron.
In the north, the two Auttum Warriors, Kenthaë and Carhâa, followed by Doltha the young paladin, allied with Queen Oretalha of the Calomnum Glaciers. They decided to conduct the immense fleet of thousands of ships in the direction of the Fourth Kingdom, stronghold of the black fortress that they had to destroy. After regaining his consciousness following a long coma, Artemion was guided by Gerioh the young rider and Locklhan the former paladin. They met Hamaya, deserter from his native country of Puy Mefron. While at-tempting to join the Kingdom of North Shore, the small group was captured by the henchmen of the Necromancer, it was impossible for them to escape from the grue some claws of the wizards of the Black Citadel.
In a last hope, King Berum convened the two crowns of Merhidios and Shol-Garaa in search of more means to counter the threat from the West. They felt that they needed to protect the Auttum Pact, which allowed the Wizards to retain their powers. So they formed a gigantic troop of paladins and other warriors to defend the small village holding this Pact.
In a total wrenching, although magic was the only solution, the war from the dark citadel of Shaltara was going to come down on the already devastated lands of the Mandrarian Lands. Galnor the Great City of Arms was preparing to sound for the last time the royal horn of particular sound, known to all.
First Chapter
A last sigh
In the West, destroyed villages, corpses strewing the soil among the rubble: the dark army made many ravages in the Mandrarian Lands. In the South, thousands of warriors and other wizards joined the troops already in place of King Berum in the garrisons near Galnor, in order to sup-port the village of Auttum. The monarchs made every effort to protect the Covenant uniting the five wizards, already weakened by the capture of three of the great wizards.
Galnor: the great city of arms
Winter was finally settling in, the green prairies and their flowering hills giving way to a thick white mantle, whose snow, sprinkled by gusts of wind, froze every tree and every plant insensitive to the winter cold. On the outskirts of the city of arms, they were trying to protect the ramparts with impressive machinery. Carved wooden logs in the shape of spades changed the landscape on the eve of an epic battle dreaded by the powerful mon-arch of the Kingdom of Fahl.
The sorcerer Shaari, who had come from the citadel of Varnum, was walking along the ramparts when he saw below the three kings who were conversing, he approached them and said:
- All the necessary troops have left for Auttum, they should reach the village in a day if nothing delays them.
- That's a good thing, replied King Hara, do we have news of Varnum?
- A Dartohn bird confirmed us the departure of Shaaris sorcerers and the best men of the night squadron.
- Perfect, added the monarch of North-East, we must...
The Varnumean monarch had not finished his sentence that a bluish halo came to illuminate the four men, their hands in front of the eyes, the Oracle Tenchlar suddenly appeared after some scintillating shards:
- My kings, the time is serious! We must hurry!
- What's going on Oracle? Asked King Berum.
- I had to use a powerful spell that badly weakened me. I only use this magic very rarely. But I had to be physically present with you because troops from the east are moving towards Auttum.
- By the spirits! Exclaimed King Hara, so the Regent Harnam has also decided to side with the darkness!
- Indeed, my King, but that's not the main reason I went to you. Although my home is threatened by the army of the guardian of the sands, much worse was announced during a vision ... Artemion, ac-companied by his friends, was captured by one of Count Nerrum's henchmen, I have well recognized his mark.
- This young warrior suffers terrible trials since his imprisonment at the black citadel, explained the monarch of the Kingdom of Fahl, I sent him to death again!
- He was also accompanied by a young woman...
- Carhâa was with him? Asked the king.
- No, it was not her, it was the daughter of Lord Kalranh of Puy Mefron.
- A traitress! Affirmed King Thereis of his legendary arrogance.
- This is not the case, my friend, said King Berum, i understand that she did not accept his father's ideas, as I do. Darkness has been invited to his kingdom and he no longer has the clairvoyance of the past ...
- It is a fact, said the Oracle, she must have come to the aid of Artemion by one means or another, it cannot be otherwise. I must now take leave to recover my strength.
- Madam, did the three monarchs.
The soothsayer went away quickly to rest, the spell she used Required magic so powerful that few wizards knew how to use it properly. The three men resumed their conversation:
- We are at a standstill, added King Hara, on one side we have the regent's troops, who are rushing right on Auttum, and on the other, Artemion taken prisoner, with not far from him the Necromancer Thaar and his abomination.
- Let's send our remaining army to the West! Exclaimed the king of the Kingdom of Merhidios, let's wait no longer!
- If we do that, said King Berum, we leave vulnerable Galnor and all the strategic power that this city represents. Some of our troops will reach Auttum before the arrival of the regent's army, this is where we must be vigilant but do not neglect the West hoping that the Puy Mefron will be able to block the black lord.
- Lord Kalranh has all my confidence, said the wizard Shaari, just like my
