About this ebook

The Book of Revelations is filled with many messages that may be hard to understand. This study was done over a seven day period with the Holy Spirit guiding my pen. The story it tells is one of warning and the things to befall this earth. For some things, the message is clear, but for others deeper meanings may still be hidden. The love of our Lord comes through but also His wrath to come. God is waiting on all of us to repent and come back under His protection of love. Do not be afraid to read and always ask the Holy Spirit to be your guide. This study shows us how close we truly are to the judgments of God.

I am currently an instructor in the technical fields. Construction has always been a permanent aspect of my life. At 42 years old, I turned to the Lord once more. I asked the Lord to take control over my life and let my works be for Him. God has never let me down. I am still a sinner, but through God's mercy, He still allows me to work for Him. I love the Holy Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit so much, I just want to share that with the world.

    The Book of Revelations

    Rick Sones

    Smashwords Edition

In the following pages, it is a study on the Book of Revelations. To fully understand Revelations, one must understand the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew and the Book of Daniel. Please let the reader understand, that the explanations given were revealed with the help of the Holy Spirit through prayer and dedication.

The answers are only a small part of the depth of the individual responses. This is intended only as a mere start of your travels. Through your own personal journey, the Lord may reveal more than what is written here.

Please read them with an open mind and let the Holy Spirit of our Lord be the ultimate teacher. The writer is only one of many tools that the Lord may use to bring us all into accepting and knowing our Lord in Heaven.

May the Lord bless each of you and bring you into His loving arms of protection and true peace.

    The Book of Matthew

    1:17

Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile of the Israelites to Babylon, and fourteen generations from the exile to the birth of Jesus Christ.

    Notes:

There were fourteen generations from the establishment of God’s people to the reign of King David. There were fourteen generations from David to when the people of Israel were exiled or brought into slavery in Babylon because the people had rebelled against the Lord. God had enabled them to become captive for punishment of their disobedience but also so they would come back to God. God will punish us but through His grace, He will always accept us back into the fold after we repent and ask for His forgiveness.

There were fourteen generations from the exile to the birth of our Lord Jesus, our Savior. The Jewish people still rebelled and sinned, but it is through the blood of Christ that our sins are forgiven. God allows us time to either repent and follow His teachings or to turn to ourselves and remain in sin. God wants us to serve Him but we have freewill. Sin will only bring punishment and exile from God, but choosing to serve God will bring salvation and redemption through our Lord Jesus Christ.

When David was crowned King, the tribes of Israel were divided. It took several years before Israel became united under King David. After David died, slowly the tribes began to pull apart again and worship foreign gods. It is only through Jesus, that we will become one nation again.

    1:18-24

18 Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

    Notes:

Mary was a virgin. She was totally pure in the eyes of the Lord. She obeyed the Law of Moses and had no sin. She had to be flawless in order to receive the blessing of God. Mary was without sin. She was the handmaiden of the Lord.

19 Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

    Notes:

Joseph was the son of Jacob, a direct descendent of Abraham. Joseph followed God’s law in every way and therefore he also found favor with God. He was given the task of provider and teacher of
