    Excerpt from Love on the Edge

    Barbara blushed deeply , her cheeks and ears turning crimson. Yes – nothing seemed to have changed. It was just like the good old days.

    Before she could say anything, Roger’s hand was on the small of Barbara’s back, pulling her closer to him, against his barrel chest. He lowered his face, his lips landing on hers.

    Barbara had no intention of resisting. She closed her eyes and a hiss escaped her parted lips. Roger kissed her passionately and then withdrew, holding his lips an inch from hers, almost in a tease, daring her to make a move. The anticipation made Barbara’s heartbeats go berserk. Her eyes still tightly shut, Barbara moved her lips forward to meet his, sucking on his supple, thick lower lip. Roger pulled her closer till her full breasts caressed his sweaty hard chest. Barbara moaned throatily as their kiss became more frenzied with every passing second.

    Roger’s hands cupped her breasts over her jacket, slowly caressing them. Barbara’s nipples were taut and craving for his attention. Roger broke the kiss, and with his hand clutching Barbara’s hair, he let his lips cruise up and down the side of her neck. Barbara’s fingers played with his unruly mop of hair, ruffled by the breeze.

    The Friendly Neighbour

    As Barbara stepped out of the foyer, she immediately felt the nip in the air. She zipped up her jacket and rubbed her palms together, blowing into them. She had not thought it would be so cold outside. She took a long, deep breath. The smell of pines filled her senses. Her eyes darted to the distant peaks towering over the sleepy town, their pristine white forming an alluring contrast with the azure of the sky.

    There was no one around. The party had continued till late last night. She jogged down the lawn to the boundary wall that separated their house from the Coles’. The chill in the air caressed her face.

    And then she saw him, their neighbour, working out in his lawn.
